RockvilleRDI5 DI Box Converts Guitar/Instrument Signal to Balanced Line Level

If you have yet to purchase a DI box or need a cheap, functioning one without any bells or whilstles this it the DI box I would 100% advise to start with. Instantaneously fixed many level/mixer/audio fidelity/input related issues. There are only two variable settings that can be tweaked: output decibel padding for different output level needs and a ground lift switch, which makes the device low maintenance which makes is easy to use. The build is solid and durable and trust this thing could take a pretty decent beating before giving up, especially due to the simplistic functionality and rugged design. Totally work the money even if you don't think your signal path needs it. For example; I was having issues with noise pollution and sound artifacts even after running the signal through a mixer/audio interface enabling the ground lift alone fixed 85% of the noise, pops, hisses, crackles, and hums that I was still encountering in my recordings and improved the overall clarity and smoothness of the instruments tone.

I received an RDI5 with backwards labeling on it where the attenuation switch notations and cable insert positions were put on the wrong side of the DI despite the "QC Passed" sticker. We use multiple sound men at our shows and various DI boxes so to avoid confusion with anyone not familiar with the RDI5 attenuation switch positions and cable insert locations where one could get mistaken for the other, I returned it for a correctly labeled box. The replacement took 18 days to arrive so keep that in mind if you need it in a hurry. The DI feels solid and seems to work fine right out of the box. Again be sure to check the device labeling at switch and cable inserts.

Great product n great price! Met my needs

The RD15 does help to reduce the noise level when using single coil pick-up setting, but the volume of the signal is significantly reduced. So I find I cannot make much use of it with my DI set-up.

Came quickly, works as it should.
