Armstrong's Handbook of Human Resource Management Practice: Building Sustainable Organizational Performance Improvement

Great text book but think my university should have chosen an American based book and not a United Kingdom one. This fact led me to question the relevance of some parts especially as it relates to law.

Very comprehensive but a little to Euro/British centric.I run an HR IT area, so I got this as a guide for me on the business side of the fence. It is VERY comprehensive, but dare I say a little too "common sense". I would have liked it to get into detail a bit more. If you are looking for a solid all around book about an HR organization however, this is a very good choice.

I found it to be quite comprehensive yet written in such simple language. An excellent book to keep on your desk as an HR Professional/Practitioner.

This is a very good book. The print is of good quality, the paper is thin and resistant and colours are uaually in a nice tone.As for the contents of the book this is fundamental if you are undertaking level 5 or abofe CIPD qualification. It does not go too deep in any subject, so it is used more like to get a glance about a specific subject. Matters seem to be well connected and chained in an intelligible way so you do not feel too dispersed. Goood knowledge but if you need more subtsnce on a specific subject, you will need to start digging elsewhere.All in all a very reasonable book. The new version is not that new that would grant it being 15 pounds more expensive.

Was dubious ordering this book as it was listed as ok condition. Some pages torn and with writing on it. Very happy to find it was virtually perfect. Small tear where there would have been a library sticker on the front page. New addition of this book is being published in January so didn’t want to spend a fortune but needed it now for a college unit. Very happy. Quick delivery as well.

The book arrived earlier than expected which I really appreciate. The condition is not just good, but excellent I would say. No writing insight and the cover still has it's glazed finish. Wonderful purchase and great seller!

I found this book very useful for referencing and gaining a better understanding in different areas. I would recommend this book to anyone who is studying to gain a CIPD qualification.

Essential reading for CIPD / HR students

A very thorough and clear account of modern Human Resource Management.I would rate 5 star with an improved employment law chapter which is so important (more and more so) in practice for HR Practitioners.
