needs a steady hand
i have sharpend kitchen knives to axes so good for lots of jobs. Hand holding the thing you are sharpening at 90 degrees can be hard. I am fine with functional sharpness rather than aiming for insane edges and this does that fine. Flexible tool, quick to use. Very quick. Precision...no.

Great bit of kit!
A fantastic solution for keeping your knives sharp. Easy to use, compact, and gives an incredible edge. Buy one.

More complex than Lansky’s “Fold-A-Vee, but equally effective.
My old Lansky “Fold-A-Vee” was my go-to sharpener until it was “borrowed” and not returned - especially using the old “Countdown” method of ten strokes on one side of the blade edge, ten on the other, then nine on each side, then eight, seven, six etc., until you finish with one light stroke on each edge - leaving s very keen and burr-free edge. This device works in a similar manner, though with four edge angle options in a heavier package - that folds into a bulkier - and more expensive - box. This is too heavy to sit unnoticed in a pocket, but is far more versatile and should last for many years.
