Hunter Pro-C PC-400i 4 Zone Base Controller; Indoor with Plug-in Transformer, Gray, Small

Replaced a 17 year old "SRC+" that had failed with the "ProC". Easy to install, easy to program.

Purchased this to replace their older model that was rendered inoperable due to a nearby lightning strike. Removed the old unit, replaced it with this and it worked immediately. Only wiring difference was the slightly relocated "COMMON" terminal connection, otherwise perfect retrofit. I've found this and the unit it replaced, very reliable. Take the time to read through the programming instructions, there are plenty of extra features that it is capable of in addition to just a simple on/ off timer operation.

As always, Hunter builds a solid tool. Had a lightning strike take out my existing system. Replaced the controller and fixed several other valve problems with the Hunter valves and did it myself saved 3 thousand over the quoted repair price. Install of controller took half an hour.

Did not have a remote control but it worked great to replace our previous model that was in the home for 10 years. These are built to last

Fairly easy to install. Easy to operate. Works like a charm.Update: It's been a year now, I installed this unit last year to replace a much older model. I added the wireless rain sensor unit and it all works as advertised. I like that the unit won't come on when it is raining. So I just set the watering program and don't worry about it. Plus having the unit on manually is a very simple press and hold process.

Works great. Saved a ton of money buying it from you.

My previous PC - 300i was giving trouble so I replaced with PC-400i with 6 zone. Very easy to install this unit.

Everything looks good and it is easy to set. it has great expansion capabilities including adding a Remote and a Wireless Rain gauge, a pump control, outside lighting control and adding additional zones. I just finished installing this myself and I am not an electrician. It was simple to do and the instructions were easy to follow. Since it is an indoor unit, the transformer is plugged into a wall socket and supply 28 Volt AC to the unit. So the only electricity you are exposed to is 28 VAC. The reason I only gave it Four Stars is that the instructions did not mention that there is a switch to energized the board on the inside panel which is obvious unless you don't see it. I did not see anywhere in the instructions that switch need to be turned on. I got an error message the read no AC but the guide said to check that the transformer was properly installed not to check that the panel switch was turned on. Once I figured that out, it works perfectly. I would recommend this product and just make sure they know about that switch.
