Premium Yoga Mats Tulavita All-Purpose Perfectly Thick High Density Non-Slip Includes Limited Edition Carry Strap

Very pleased with this mat at a price far below what most of the fancier ones are going for. It doesn't have pretty pictures on it and isn't made out of organic rubber trees or hemp or whatever else they make yoga mats out of. I have been using it for daily practice at home and I am completely satisfied. It had a slight plastic smell when first unrolled. This was easily fixed by using the same method I now use to clean it once a week or so... use a plain wet sponge with one or two drops of dish soap on it (no more than that) and give the mat a quick rub with the sponge, which will make it just a bit foamy, then wipe it down several times with a clean wet cloth to remove the soap (which is why you don't want to use too much soap). I then hang it over the shower curtain rod and it is dry in a few hours. I try not to get it soaking wet. With this cleaning, the mat has no smell whatsoever, and I have no problems with slipping or sliding. I use it on my living room floor and it cushions nicely but is thin enough to maintain good contact with the floor in balancing poses. I am very pleased that I bought this mat instead of a more expensive one. Being able to clean it regularly with a wipe-down that takes less than five minutes reassures me that I'll be able to keep it clean and in good shape. People have mentioned some slipping in their reviews of these mats; this is a problem with ALL yoga mats, especially if your hands are sweaty or the mat is dirty. Being able to clean it regularly with dish soap removes all grease and restores the non-slip grip.

I really want to love this mat but I am frustrated with it after taking it to class for the first time.On the positive side - the mat is a beautiful color, lightweight and very adequately padded.As for the negatives - the biggest issue for me is slippage. The first time I did a downward dog on this mat, my hands started to slide forward and the class had not even gotten sweaty yet. I was uncomfortable throughout my practice because I could not get my hands and feet to stick adequately on the mat. This is not the most slippery mat I have ever used but it was a noticeable problem from the start. I don't know if this issue will resolve with use (any tips here???) but I'm very disappointed - I really wanted to love this product!In addition, the elastic on the carry strap is terrible. My mat slipped out of the straps and onto the pavement several times (three times, actually, in the freezing cold) as I walked a couple of New York City blocks with it over my shoulder. I have never had this problem with a carry strap so that was very annoying. I care much more about the mat as a new carry strap is easy to obtain, but this was another ding against this product.I will probably try to use it once more to see whether I can learn to like it as much as I wanted to in the beginning...if not, sadly, it's going to have to go back.

Love this mat for yoga and stretches. The orange is bright, just what I wanted. 6mm is perfect thickness for anything I'm doing. Since purchasing, my husband started using it too. He liked it so much I tried to order one for him. Presently out of stock. Hope they come back soon. Good price, no issues with slipping. I haven't used or needed the strap, so I can't speak to that.

You get what you pay for.I used this mat for all of one minute and knew I won't like it. I slipped around and the padding left my hand & foot prints, which indicates that it will wear down really fast.Check out the Now Athletics Eco Tpe yoga mat. I'm in love with it.

Mat is a bit slippery but if you're going to apply a yogi-toe towel on top, then it should be fine.

Great mat. Rolled out nicely and was very comfortable for my yoga class. Easy to re-roll and store.

Good quality mat. Nice colors to choose from. Perfect thickness and am very pleased with my purchase.
