just a hobby gamer so I tend to shop for bits like this on a budget after a lot of mooching ...
Just to be clear I aren't a proper tech nerd/geek or whatever, just a hobby gamer so I tend to shop for bits like this on a budget after a lot of mooching about the net for info/options. So, first Impressions.....The colouring doesn't really interest me as much as the function at the moment plus a lot of the other bits I've been looking at are definitely beyond my price range, for the time being. But I do like the twin fan design over single fan for better cooling, bearing in mind they do blow across the heatsink and into my case, not really an issue with the airflow I have so the extra heat isn't going to bug me. I do like the fact that when not loaded up the fans stay silent/off until the heat builds up, never knew how quiet my rig is at idle till I unplugged the dvd driveI could swear it's almost silent and even with a bit of load (FO4 running in Ultra) it's not entirely distracting and with headphones I can barely hear it.It is SLI ready but I really haveing a need for a second card yet plus running more than one card is often for higher end systems or people who design/animate in 3D where having beefy graphics power is more important. It is a huge improvement over my 750Ti mostly due to having double the vram though it is a lot bigger lengthways so a bit of fiddling with the wiring harness was needed, nothing drastic. Installation was a breeze, just logged into msi's site, grabbed the required stuff and it's done.So far it's kept up with everything I've thrown at it though do still get striping when using my browser/youtube but that's more likely a software isue rather than hardware, haven't looked at overclocking it yet as I like to make sure a new bit works for more than a few months before seeing what it can really do and this card being second hand I try to be cautious just in case. While it's not a GTX1080 it is still a very good card, I may upgrade again in a couple of years or add a second to take advantage of twin gpu's......currently thinking of using my old 750Ti as a pure PhysX card, just out of curiousity though it's not really supported in many gamesAnd it does have better connectivity for my future monitor purchase....yummy fast displayport

still got it!
I bought this back in February as my old GTX 460 bit the dust and died on me, as soon as it arrived I slapped it in my i3 rig with 4gb of RAM, needless to say the GPU was bottlenecked by the rest of the computer but I knew this before purchase and it didn't bother me as within a couple of months I had purchased a new rig with a 6700k and 16gb of RAM and it all run brilliantly together even with newer releases like BF1, even though there is a newer model this is still a relevant card especially if your tight on cash, I have had no issues with reliability, temperatures or noise so when i come to upgrading to a MSI 1080 with a 1440p monitor this will sit proudly on a display shelf!

great 1080p card
bought this to replace a failed AMD graphics cards, great purchase. performs amazing for any games at 1080p and in my opinion has one of the best cooler designs and heat dissipation of the lineup. added back plate also is a bonus but only if you buy the 4gb model. Nvidia is the way to go no matter which card it is, powerful, efficient and reliable.shadow play also makes recording games a breeze

and I had some concerns over the poor expansion slot it was destined for
Bought to replace an AMD 7850. Still working, but it needs to be put out to pasture after it's hard life. This thing is huge! I have a roomy case and it still came within spitting distance of the drive bays. Not sure how mini tower case owners would cope - they probably wouldn't. It's also fairly weighty, and I had some concerns over the poor expansion slot it was destined for. Still, it went in easily enough, and it's quite secure. This needs an 8 pin connector for power, or a 6+2 affair like I have. It also glows in a way the 7850 didn't, and now the interior of my case has a nice little light show. Despite the two fans it's also quiet, although it's worth noting that these Twin Frozrs only kick in after it reaches a certain temperature, so maybe I'll be treated to an impression of an aircraft taking off yet. This hits the sweet performance/cost spot for mid range cards, and yes, while I've read that the AMD R9 has the slight edge in performance for less cost, it needs two power connectors for those points or two more of framerate. So it's down to individual choice, I guess. I'm happy with what I have, R9 owners probably feel the same way.

Budget, good quality card.
This is honestly the best budget graphics card I have ever used, it is smooth has amazing design and it runs games like no other budget card that I have used. It does have its downfalls (which aren't many) but that is easily outweighed by the huge positives that this card has.PROS:Easy to install, just plug in and play (drivers will be installed with card).Amazing framerates (Average of 80 without Vsync on Far Cry 4. Average of 55 with Vsync on)Nice LED sign.Friendly support.Good promotions (at the time of purchase).CONS:Must be used with a medium to high range processor or you won't get the full experience. Not much cheaper than a 10 series card.My advice is to buy this card if you are building an MITX or an MATX build with an Intel processor. It was a good buy for me and I hope it serves anyone else who buys it well.

Great!, But takes a set up.
Arrived fine, Couldn't install windows with it plugged in, worked fine after drivers Installed once I installed windows with it uninstalled. Great performance runs great solid +60 fps in war thunder max setting and World off warhips and Skyrim with mods although the fact that it arrived underclocked, I had to download and install afterburner and overclock it, plus the nvidia drivers have crashed from time to time when changing graphical settings such as anti aliasing. Part from those two annoying rather than afwul cons it's a great card worth the buy!

Excellent card. Performs exactly as my son had hoped.
Arrived promptly this morning and my son was able to install it and be back gaming within 20 minutes. He says it's way better than his previous graphics card and significantly quieter. Apparently this is due to it having twin fans. He says his frame rate has gone from between 90&115 to between 160&180. This is a good thing, I'm told. Comes with installation disc, 8 pin power cable adapter and another adapter which is for older style connections. So all in all he's a happy young man.

I put this in a crap pc to give it a little bump from my 750ti. It's a fantastic card, I won the silicon lottery with this card and oc'd it a massive amount. This is a great budget card but I have since upgraded from it when building a new rig. Would still recommend this card though.

Fantastic GPU
After using this for a while now, I must say for the price point it is great value! A solid well performing card able to run high end games at high settings while maintaining quite decent FPS. Does drop a few frames on massive games on the highest settings. Otherwise it's a good card for someone who doesn't wanna spend thousands on their build!

Fantastic performance, looks nice.
Works very well and looks great. I've been a console gamer for as long time but decided to upgrade my PC and this is the graphics card I chose. Very impressed and with steam streaming to my laptop that's connected to my TV in the living room my ps4/xb1 now look dated.

Powerful gfx card for the price.
Great card even when used with older CPU's. I play MMO's for the most part. This card is capable of between 45 and 60fps in newer MMO's. Combined with the AMD FX 6300 CPU it makes for a great gaming configuration. I upgraded with this card to play Black desert online.

Better than I expected!
It's quiet and stays cool even under heavy load. I can play Fallout 4 on ultra settings with an average of about 50fps combined with an AMD FX 6300. It comes with some great software which allows for easy overclock and monitoring while in game. It also looks visually great and the MSI logo lights up which can be customized.

This graphics card serves its purpose very well. Plays almost every game I own at full 1080p with all settings maxed out keeping frames over 60.
