Review: Choo-Choo-Choose This One! The Step2 Deluxe Canyon Road Train & Track Table - A Timeless Hit! - As a parent who’s navigated the wonderful, chaotic world of kid's toys, let me tell you, finding something that truly captivates and endures is a rare gem. The Step2 Deluxe Canyon Road Train & Track Table is exactly that kind of gem. Setting it up was a breeze – seriously, even for those of us who dread assembly instructions, this was a win. But the real magic? This table became an instant hit with my two middle children. I’m talking hours, daily, of imaginative play. They loved it so much that sharing became… well, let's just say it was a learning experience for them! The durable plastic construction truly holds up to enthusiastic toddler play, and the built-in track design sparked endless adventures for their cars and the included train set. What makes this table a standout isn't just the immediate joy it brings; it's the longevity. This isn't one of those toys that gets forgotten in a week. It genuinely lasted for years in our home, providing countless hours of entertainment. In fact, if we’d had the space to keep it once they outgrew it (a common dilemma for us "super-parents" with overflowing toy rooms!), I bet it would still be going strong today. My youngest even missed out on this particular phase, and honestly, I feel a little bad about it! If you’re a parent looking for a classic toy that will ignite your children’s imaginations, encourage independent play, and truly stand the test of time, this Step2 train table is absolutely for you. It's a fantastic investment in fun and creativity!
Review: So glad we found this! - Like most of the reviews you will read here, mine is also in favor of this product. I stumbled across it before last Christmas. My 2 year old would throw his Thomas tracks often, sometimes hurting one of us. I was so excited to see how durable this train track was and had tracks that stay bolted down. I thought he wouldn't like this, but he didn't mind at all. He even climbs on it and it still holds his 32 pound body weight. We have kittens that climb under the tunnels and watch the trains, which is fun too. We use the battery operated Thomas trains that seem to work fine on the outer edge of the track. They have a hard time on the middle track, since they are larger they won't turn the corners well. He uses all sorts of match box cars and trains on the tracks. Sometimes he will take bouncy balls and roll them off the hills. There really is so much to do with this track. We haven't put the lid on it yet to use it as a table, my son likes the track open at all times! So, when they get older it will be a drawing table I'm sure. This is really a great deal for the money if you compare it to other tracks.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: We have wooden Thomas and Brio trains.. One Thomas train runs on batteries, pulls the others. Would this slide off because the tracks are different?**
A: They would probably slide off or get stuck at least some of the time. My son has some of the Thomas that run on batteries, and they do get stuck on some decent inclines & tight turns. But there are some straight aways where train can go, but track not really made for trains running on their own.

**Q: My two-year-old wants Paw Patrol toys and will be getting this table from grandparents. Will the smaller cars fit on this table?**
A: I don't have an answer, but would like an update. I assume you are referring to the Paw Patrol Rescue Racers. Did you end up trying them out on the table? Do they fit on the track and under the underpasses?

**Q: I really want to know if this table is compatible with the Fisher Price Take n Play die cast Thomas trains. Thanks.**
A: I don't know if the Thomas trains fit but I do know the track width is 1.375 inch maximum for the wheelbase of any toy car you might use on this track.

**Q: is this manufactured in usa**
A: Mine has a made in the USA stamp on the bottom.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Die-cast Chuggington and Thomas are a good fit
*by D***I on August 28, 2012*

Our boys love this train table and have had a lot of fun with it. Assembly is pretty straight forward but you will have to install stickers and the bridges. I have read some reviewers comment their trains did not fit well in the channels but I can verify that the die-cast versions of Chuggington and Thomas do fit very well and flow easily around corners when attached to one another. Pros + Great for die-cast Chuggington and Thomas, Hot-Wheels/Matchbox cars too! + Doubles as a play table + Multilevel keeps it interesting Cons/Considerations - Sticker installation can be frustrating but if it isn't perfect, he/she probably won't notice - Bridges and connecting pieces may pop off or free if too much pressure is applied or if it is pulled on. - If freed connecting pins could pose a choking hazard for smaller children - Simple design layout may become boring to older children I would recommend this toy for children up to age 4, depending on your child's individual taste they may want a table with more features. Our 5 year old son has lost interest but our 2 year old loves it! I hope this info has been helpful
