They are a great way of introducing kids to history and important historical figures. They are written from the historical figure's perspective and in a way that is very relatable for young children. The books also serve as a great jumping off point for discussing important issues with kids, such as civil rights and women's rights. These books also have important character building lessons and are overall great books for kids. I can't wait to add more to our collection. If you have a growing family or classroom to share these in, or like hardcovers, these are nice ones. I got this and the Ordinary Women Change the World Gift Set. My kindergartner is into the show Xavier Riddle and the secret museum. It's based on this series and we love it. The books teach history in a fun and engaging way. We learn about the childhood and then the reasons the figure helped change the world. They are not boring, patronizing, or misleading. The books encourage bravery, respect, honesty, and fighting for what is right.
