Grizzly Industrial H3245-6" Vise Brake

This is a handy tool to have for the garage fabricator! Traditionally. I'd just put some sheet steel in my vise (using the vise jaws to create the break edge) and bend it over using a hammer to make the sharp bend/corner, but that mares the metal.I got the 6" Grizzly brake for my 5" vise, and it fits/works great. The magnets hold it in plenty firm enough. The quality is good and it's very tough. I used it for 14ga steel first, and it worked like a charm (note: when designing parts, you need to take into consideration the depth of your vise support beam. That's the limiting factor of a vise brake. I had to get creative with the design). The removable "fingers" help.Then I used it on 11ga steel plate (instructions say 14ga is it's limit), and it was a bit of a bear to bend. Did bend my vise handle though :). But I removed the vise jaw/beam/screw and lubed it up, sprayed the back of the plate steel with WD40, and it bent the 11ga nice and easy (obviously I should have tried that first, but there's a reason I'm doing this in my garage and not as a job). I made two light mounts for my Jeep (two bends each, one 90° and one 75° almost perpendicular to the 90) and they look great and are very strong. Couldn't imagine them turning out this nice without the vise brake. The bends are sharp and look clean.

It is very rare that I give a Chinese made product 4 stars, but this is an exception.This item is well made and the magnets are super strong.It grips tight to the vise for accurate alignment.The break blade is very fine so you can break thin metal to a fine corner.It breaks farther than 90 degrees so you can easily flatten the break to a seam if needed.If it were American made I would have given it 5 stars.

easy to install and use . it helps me to bend couple sheet metal without problem . I am getting love the Grizzly brand

Works as advertised. Bent some 1/8 in my big Wilton vise...had to crank on it a bit, but they held up and are just what I was looking for. Magnets hold well - nice addition to the tool chest.

These are fantastic! I was able to make my seat brackets with these. Always a better alternative to vice, clamp, hammer bend or adjustable wrench bend.

Received quickly and works well on 15 ga steel. You do have to make sure your material is wide enoughor it will not cross the gap of the bending die

Worth the price on their first job!! I used these to make a lock faceplate and they performed flawlessly!

These work well for light gauge steel bending. You can probably get away with heavier if you heat the steel up. Does NOT work with a 4" vise at all, might get away with a 5".
