I use this for measuring salt, magnesium, and liquid chemicals. I highly recommend this scale and am a little shocked by it's low price considering how well made it is and how well it works. You begin operation with the bowl on the scale, turn it on, and it is zeroed out so that the bowl is not included in the weight. You can weigh in pounds or grams and it is very sensitive. Because it allows you to put anything on it and turn it on zeroed out, I also use my Erlenmeyer flask in place of the bowl for measuring liquids. The scale is stainless steel, has a nice display, and it easy to operate. It has held up so far with harsher use than found in a kitchen and I keep it in my garage and expose it to a lot of chemicals. I am VERY happy with this purchase!

I bought a bread maker and wasn't having much success even though I was following the recipes exactly. After many disappointing results, I started doing some research and came to find that bread making is a science. You can't just throw ingredients into the pan and then expect the bread to come out perfect. I went on YouTube and found some very useful clips on how to measure flour accurately. What an eye opener!! I've been measuring flower all wrong my entire life! Every clip I watched said to buy a scale. So I did and couldn't be happier with the results I'm now getting. However, even buying a scale is a learning process. The first scale I bought was too hard to read and flimsy. I bought another one and the difference is like night and day. This scale is more than double the price but when am I going to learn that you get what you pay for. It was well worth the investment. This scale comes with a very useful bowl and I can read the display so easily. I have converted cups to ounces and grams and it must be accurate because just look at the results in the pictures. The first picture of rye bread was without measuring the flour with the scale and the next picture is my first attempt weighing the flour with the scale. Perfection! It not only looks delicious, it tastes delicious. Most homemade breads are too dense for me and that's because there is too much flour if measured without a scale. This country white bread I made could rival any bread from a bakery! I LOVE THIS SCALE! I can see so many uses for this scale - not just weighting flour. I'm going to start using it for portion control for my meals because I've gained a few pounds taste testing all these breads!

I read reviews of pages of scales and I think I got a good one. The stainless steel bowl is deep and roomy and I use it for more than just weighing (perfect for tossing a salad). Simple conversion as easy as clicking through from lb to oz to gr to ml. Easy to see digital screen, looks great on my counter and is lightweight. Only thing is I wish it stayed on. It turns itself off when not actively using, not a big deal, but something to know. Otherwise perf!
