Just what the squat doctor ordered
Just what I needed. I had been doing squats for about 12-15 weeks and thought my form was pretty good. I was developing tendinitis in my elbows on the medial side commonly referred to as "golfers elbow". By chance I watched a Mark Rippetoe video on proper grip for squats and realized that my wrists were not straight and thus were taking part of the load. I just don't have flexibility in the shoulder girdle to grip the bar correctly. After some further internet research I learned about the safety squat bar and purchased this one. Within a week of using it for squats my elbow pain was significantly diminished.I received a product review prompt today and I have to say that switching to this bar has cured my tendinitis! It's been about 15 weeks since I started squatting with it and I no longer have any pain in my elbows. I can also tell you that the safety squat bar changes the center line of the load compared to conventional back squats so I was initially not able to handle as much weight as I could with the back squat. Safety Squat Bar = GREAT Training Aid
I first was introduced to the Safety Squat Bar concept years ago by reading articles by Dr Fred Hatfield (Dr Squat).. It was a great training aid to both my Squat & Deadlift when zi was competing.. I found it to be equally beneficial to HS & Collegiate athletes (especially when training in-season because of the reduced pressure on the low back), Now, as I'm older and shoulder problems prevent me from doing traditional power, olympic or front squats, I am able to train my "squatting muscles" (smile) again... It is a fantastic training aid that is vastly unknown, unutilized & unappreciated.... Try it - you'll like it!!

Great Safety Squat Bar. A steal at this price
Found this Safety Squat Bar and couldn't believe my luck. Concerned about the low price as these bars usually go for around $400 dollars. Was I surprised when it arrived. The box was beat up slightly, but the bar was absolutely great. Showed it to my gym rat buddies and even they were surprised at the quality. Fast delivery and GREAT Quality far exceeding the price. Good bar for price, one easily fixed flaw
Good bar one flaw. This bar is good for the price and solid. My biggest issue is the neck pad doesn't stay in place. That's fine for weight under 400lbs but definitely puts some neck strain when you go heavier than that. Duct tape resolves that issues but it doesn't look pretty.Thus far I've had 485 on here.

Nice Bar for Shoulder Problems
It's a nice bar for the price. I couldn't squat anymore due to shoulder pain, but this bar has allowed me to do it again with ZERO shoulder pain. It's a little awkward at first and puts more strain on the lower back than a traditional squat bar, but if you can't squat because of shoulder problems, this bar is the way to go.

I love it!
Because I have 2 messed up shoulders I haven't been able to do barbell squats for over 8 years. With this bar I'm able to do it again. It comes in great use at my studio and clients love it. It really takes the stress off the joints in your shoulders. I love it!

Great bar for a very affordable price. I have shoulder issues, and this bar enables me to squat without any pain. Solid build, really good quality.

Get this bar
Let's me squat with NO shoulder pain. I had meniscus and shoulder surgery the same day. After 3 weeks, I was able to do legs, but not shoulders. I was able to start heavy training using this bar and it had no effect on my shoulder. If you have bad shoulders and want to squat again with out upper body pain, GET THIS BAR. Plus it is just as good as some of the outrageously priced big companies.
