Beach Towel, White Tiger with Blue Eyes, 30x60-inch

I purchased (2) beach-type towels for my young teen daughters -this one and also  Baron bay dolphins velour brazilian beach towel 30x60 inches . Both towels are the same size and weight (at least, according to the ads) but there is a difference in quality. Although the dolphin towel was less expensive, it appears to be better made. Its colors are more vibrant (the photo in the ad does not do it justice) and there are no "white" areas where color that should be is missing. This tiger towel, on the other hand, is not quite as bright as the photo would indicate and it has some small, missing areas of color. It also came "pre-snagged" in one corner. This is really disappointing given that it was more expensive than the other one. Also, this is the only towel that I have ever purchased that did not come with a sewn-on tag - no brand tag, no fiber tag, nothing. Both towels are very thin - about 270 gsm - but the dolphin towel makes that clear and is upfront in its ad. This product lists its shipping weight only. Between the two, we prefer the dolphins.

As with other reviewers, I agree, the towel is slightly thinner than I had thought but that was alright since it makes it easier to fold up and put in my gym bag for when I go swimming.

But that might be a plus if you're going to the pool or beach and want a towel that will dry quickly.The image itself is beautiful.

Not as thick as I would have liked, but I will keep them because the tiger is beautiful with the contrast of the black and white and the only color is the blue eyes. I got them for those blue eyes because all my girls and I have blue eyes.

Beautiful graphic, not very thick, but also perfect fit for beach bag. Was gift for male & he loved it

The towel is OK. It's thinner than I expected and a bit smaller than I'd like (my fault on the later one though) but it's worth the price.

I like the pattern better than the material it is made from. It is much too thin, not plush at all.

10/01/2015. Just got mine in the mail. When i pulled the package from my mailbox it felt way too light to be a beach towel. When I opened it was way too thin to be a beach towel. If you laid this on the sand you would feel every grain of sand through the towel. As far as the image what you see is not what you get. Imagine zooming on the tiger's head so much that you loose all the blue above it, you can't see both ears and the nose is off to the right instead of centered and you can't see the bottom of the chin much less the torso of the tiger. It also looks cartoonish like something a child would have rather than realistic like the photo. The whole idea of having the tiger is being able to tell what it is. What I got was just a waaaaaaay too tight headshot. It almost looks like someone made a mistake and sent the wrong towel. I am sending mine back immediately. UPDATE: Turns out that the towel I received actually is a different one,(I found a photo of it), so I will attempt to swap it out for what was supposed to get, THEN I'll be able to accurately review the product.
