When I unboxed it, lo and behold there is now a stabilizing piece of wood down the center of the table on the underside. Everything was in perfect condition, no holes in the top and no buckling. I was also pleased to find that it comes already assembled. I'm only giving it 4 stars because the triple layer edge of the table leads one to conclude that the whole table top is that thick. It isn't. The edge is just a decorative edge and the main table top is a much thinner, one-layer piece of bamboo. It's now reinforced, but it's a bit of a dodge.
