SOG Opcon Messenger Bag

This is Awesome. Materials and build quality are great. Molle webbing is abundant and very conveniently placed. Even if you prefer not to attach additional pouches, it offers tons of organizational pockets and sleeves for pretty much anything you could possibly want to carry. That been said, it is a bit wider than you could expect and since sometimes I pair it up with some Thinktank backpack straps (it can get heavy sometimes) it protrudes around 3 inches at each side, but it is way more comfortable. the bright side of this is that you can acommodate pretty much any laptop you want in it. CCW sleeve in the back is accessible but you have to practice a bit in order to get adequate speed and reliable draw. Maybe the criticism here is that the velcro inside the CCW sleve is in my opinion a problem more than help because it is noisy and also there is no tab or something to pull it apart. This is easily fixed by placing some loop strings on the hook side. Overall, for the price, This is a pack that might put to shame many more expensive bags to shame in both quality and design. Highly recommended. For my particular case, when using it with the backpack style straps, it would be nice to have a couple of D-rings in the back of the bag to attach the straps, or at least some more molle loops near the bottom and around 4 inches from the left and right edges.

Over all the bag is okay. I bought the bag to keep my computer in at work. My laptop is 17" and fits snuggley. It's not as large as I wanted, material is thin, but it works. I also have a 5.11 messenger bag for my personal laptop which is much better quality. If you have a little extra cash buy the 5.11

I have this bag and have the 511 mike and xray. The quality is not as good as 511, but it is good for the price of $30-40. If it gets more expensive than that get something else. I have only owned it for a week and time will tell if it holds up. I will update if it falls apart. Anyone telling you it is as good as 511 does not know what they are talking about.

Lots of pockets. Not much width. Great bag for the price. Made really durable.

Very versatile and rugged bag with lots and lots and lots of pockets -- I will probably have to shoot a video to show you all the pockets. This has internal padding that makes it great for carrying your laptop or tablet safely. I guess there is some sort of military requirement to have grommeted drain holes in the bottom of the bag. Since I don't find that compatible with carrying a laptop around, I just placed the plastic bag the product arrived in at the bottom of the bag and that seems to do pretty well. Unlike most messenger bags, this one has bottle holders at both ends. The shoulder strap and handle are both very rugged. It also has MOLLE - style gear attachment points all over, so you can customize it to a degree.

I have waited a few months to write this review so I could give my honest opinion. It is a fantastic bag and seems to have a near identical build to the 5.11 messenger back for a quarter of the cost. The bag is made of durable material and it has TONS of pockets, zippered compartments and storage. It also does have a hook-and-loop walled zippered compartment for the option to conceal carry (similar to the 5.11 bag). This fits my 15-inch Macbook Pro Retina extremely well and can even fit my laptop and intuos pro tablet along side it. I use this bag daily and love the well thought out layout and great quality of materials.

Awesome bag! I was considering a similar bag by 5.11 but it was over $100. This one was less than half that and has exceeded my expectations. Its quite large, good enough for a laptop computer. It seems very sturdy. It has pockets, compartments, straps, and velcro everywhere! I've bought several other SOG products that were good, and this one is no exception. Too bad its imported and not made in the USA, but its still a great product.

I have to star saying stop looking for the most expensive bag this by far it the best messenger bag I have ever owned I will order a second one just to have two the quality is way superior than 5.11 and voodoo bags lots of useful pockets super well welding and no loose treading big enough to fit a 17'' laptop and more I mean give it a try
