Made from maintenance-free 2-5/8 inch diameter, 16 gauge aluminum, this flag pole has a unique 'telescoping' design, which means the sections slide into each other, bringing the top of the flagpole down to a manageable level. When you extend the flagpole, the sections lock into place, so you don't have to worry about accidental telescoping. Clear, polycarbonate collars with stainless steel clips attach to your flag and rotate a full 360 degrees to help keep flags from tangling. The pole is held in the ground by a 20 inch ground sleeve you install; the flagpole easily slips in and out of the ground sleeve. The ground sleeve needs to be secured in the ground with cement and leveled; a cap is included to cover the ground sleeve when you don't have the flagpole in it.
