Compact coolness
I purchased this just in time for a wave of warm weather and due to being in lockdown at the moment it came in really handy as going to the park or just being outside for no reason isn’t an option at the moment. It’s best to use it with water that’s been filled in the fridge, this makes the air much cooler and fresher. You can use it without water but then it’s just a standard small fan so not as effective.Considering the size it’s very good at cooling an entire room and due to its compact size it’s easy to find somewhere to place it.Good price and provides a lovely cool breeze.Hope you found my review helpful

TREE FAN SPEEDS?!!!111!! Yeah don't buy this.
When this item arrived I was quite excited. It's been 28+degrees in my study this week and I've been melting. I was dying for a solution!I followed the badly written instructions (written in 'Ingrish') and was amused by the bold claim on the front of the packaging that boasted the fan has not one, not two but 'tree' fan speeds (awesome) and took a look inside......ok we have a 3" computer cooling fan, a reasonable water reservoir and a clever little water feed system that... oh... drains out the front of the device if it overfills or is place on any surface that isn't 100% level (awesome). I guess I won't be running it on my desk next to my PC then. Okay fine. The water wicks through a series of hanging tissues and that gets evaporated by the breeze from the fan... in theory. There's also a neat little oil / mist dispenser thing on top, from the looks of it (I didn't try it). I was dubious but I thought I'd give it a go.I poured ice-cold water into the reservoir and ran the filter under that tap for a while, as instructed then ran it for an hour. At first, I could feel a slight cooling effect from the breeze... IF I STOOD WITH MY FACE RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT, LIKE WITHIN A FOOT!After about an hour the water had warmed and the device basically did nothing to cool the room.I decided to do a little test. I shut the window. Turned off all other devices in the room and ran the cooler for an hour. I left my little study (about 3x2 meters) noting the temperature and came back in one hour to find... the room temperature had gone up by five degrees.THIS DEVICE DOES NOTHING! This is a con. Do not buy cheep Chinese electronic gadgets. It NEVER ends well. I wouldn't have bought this had I twigged it was made in China, having been burned so many times by their 'cheep and cheerful' tech.Oh and those 'tree' fan speeds? One of them was 'off'.

Wast of money😒
I've only just received this and got it running but so far I'm liking it. it's not complicated to operate it does what it claims to do and it's compact . I also like the diffuser setting my bedroom now smells of lavender and is lovely and cool. Also it's not intrusive noise wise even on full power . Also I'm running it off a solar powered , power bank so it's costing nothing to run 😉Updated... the defuser has fallen apart after a coupl of days and is leaking profusely so is now unusable but to be honest I bought it for cooling the room not making it smell nice so I can live with it 😉Updated again it's completely stopped working now so a waste of money 😒 hope this is helpful and someone saves themselves some money and frustration

Poorly made
Honestly worked fine for about a week, it’s nice to have next to my bed especially when you fill it with ice cold water. However after 2 weeks it stopped working, you could turn it on for about 3 seconds and then nothing. It generally is just an overpriced fan, I sort of wish I had just gotten a larger standing fan now. Can’t say I was expecting a Dyson equivalent but for the money I paid for it, I did expect something slightly better made.It doesn’t hold the water for the amount of hours it says it will (not that I expected it too) because the water leaks through the bottom (where the batteries could go and the holes for the screws at the front). I kept it on a level surface and yet the water still leaked through onto my windowsill. When the dump opens again I’ll be throwing mine away and buying another fan for the summer. Not really keen on mixing water with the electrics!

basically functional but cheaply made
This is a small box-like air cooler that works by blowing air across filters that soak up water from a basin at the base. The tank holds around 250 ml, which is enough to keep going for around 2-4 hours. If you live in a hard water area you'll need access to scale-free water to prevent crusting. It's pretty cheaply made - the whole thing looks like it was build by a high-school student, but it does blow cool air around a meter from the fan. Best positioned in front of you, rather than trying to cool a whole room, so if used at a computer desk this would work. It's not hugely noisy, but you are going to hear it.There is no plug so you have to use an adaptor to power it. Some adaptors don't work - you need around 5 V to operate, but its not clear what happens with a higher voltage! The most disappointing thing is that the fan cuts out on the higher settings (possiblly because the adaptor isn't perfect, though i tried several and it either wouldn't start or would but the fan would short). So I can only use on the lowest settings. It's clear that a very cheap fan was used to build this thing and someone with a technical flair might be able to replace this. I would look around for a more robust cooler than buy this again.

Really should be worth 15 pounds.. not 40
No huge effect, even with icy water.

Good for the money.
For the money this unit is good. It cools the local area and has the bonus of the aroma mister which is nice.

Very Loud
Considering the fan is a basic 120mm from a pc they have fitted the cheapest, nastiesyt one available making the device VERY loud even set on its slowest, for what is a very small water tank in a cheaply built plastic box with a loosely fitting cloth filter they could have very easily upgraded the fan to a cheap silent one, there are plenty of them available nowadays. Also wont power from a standard USB wall plug and as one isn't supplied I am powering mine from my gaming pc, it is currently sat approx 2ft further away from me than my gaming pc and it is still managing to drowning out the noise of the 10 cooling fans + graphics card fans
