Works great & good value
Update: had to drop it from 4 stars to 1This blocks the NFC signal so you can't use Android Pay (at least on my S5)If you don't use anything that requires NFC, it works well.... but blocking NFC is a deal breaker for me.Original review :It works well. I did have to put two small layers of masking tape on top of the part with the contacts to get them to make consistent contact - this just made that area a little thicker so it is pushed against the charging contacts. It does not appear to create a gap with the factory back. I use this with my Otter Box case and everything fits great.GREAT solution for the price.

A Great Product at a Great Price!!
Fantastic product at a great price! I decided to try out wireless charging on a whim and this product was the enabler. Fits in my Galaxy S5 without any special covers or a new backplate. Just popped the back off my phone, aligned the receiver with it's contacts, used the already-installed sticky tape to secure it to the battery, and we were off to the races! Coupled with the stand I purchased separately, this has been a great solution for me at work. No more fighting with the charging cord when I get a call or have to use my phone. Just pick it up and use it; put it back when I'm done.

Serves its purpose, works okay.
I recently purchased a wireless charging pad not aware that my Galaxy S5 did not have a built in qi receiver so I made this purchase. They didn't come with instructions about where they are placed on (and now I know it is in) the phone. It took me about a day to figure it out when I had to time to sit down and play around with it. It has a sticky area on the back to keep from moving around within the phone. I'm not sure if it is due to the receiver or the charging pad I purchased but it doesn't work well with a thick case and has to be placed a certain way for it to connect but it does connect. That's all I needed this for.

There are three gold studs on a tab on the receiver that fit into indentations by the battery. I believe the back of the phone is supposed to hold the studs against the metal contacts in the indentations, but it only works when I leave the back cover off and hold the connection tight with fingers and awkwardly holding charging puck up to back. Putting cut paper over the connection or tape on the inside of the back didn't really work unless I further pressed on the back case over the connection. This is a Verizon S5, original battery. The battery is slightly higher than the back surface of the phone. The receiver rests on the battery and just the tab extends out to make connection with the back of the phone, which, as I said, is lower. Might try one more time before returning it, but only if the connection seems solid.

Useless
It charges on my wireless charger for about 5 seconds and then stops. This is the wireless charger that came with my galaxy S7 You also have to position it in a specific position on the charger for this to happen. It also pushes the case out to where it almost pops off the galaxy S5 that I bought it for. It's pretty much useless I took it off of the phone.

Decent if you need the aftermarket coil.
Bought 2 of these for 2 S5's. Ended up returning 1 after a few months because it wouldn't charge continuously. The other coil still works years later.

Works, for now.....
Bought this for my wife's S5 (Verizon) and we did get it to work after using some tape to hold the electrical nubs down. How long our tape fix will last is yet to be seen, but for now it's working. It is nice how thin it is as, with a TPU case she didn't even know it was in there.

Great receiver for me.
This thing is pretty simple, remove from box, open phone, remove the sticky backing, insert pad so that the contacts are touching the appropriate spots inside the phone and close up the phone, then place it on whatever Qi device you have in the appropriate position and watch the magic happen. Works great with my S5 and so far as I can tell it does not interfere with the waterproofing feature. I have no intention of testing the waterproofing nor did I have such before I got this so I cannot speak to this receivers impact or lack thereof on the waterproofing of my own S5 and I refuse to use a case so I do not know how it might impact the snugness of the fit but the original S5 back fit on without any issue so I would not think it would adversely affect the ability to use an S5 compatible case but you probably want to check with the other reviewers as to its impact. I give it 5 out of 5 for what I needed it for.
