Handmade Medium Vintage Leather Journal Diary Men Women Gift for Him Her

This is an absolutely wonderful journal, of the highest craftsmanship. I searched for hours and hours to find it, and it fits my needs perfectly. It is the same dimensions as my "A Year To Clear" book (5" x 7" and at 1.5" thick it has MORE THAN one page a day for one year)! It has a lovely long strap that allows me to wrap around both the book and the journal which will be my daily devotion this year. The paper is a wonderful creamy color and texture (like a refined handmade paper, slightly rough with fibers visible here and there) and the binding is very carefully made: constructed of 8 banks of 12 doubled and hand-laced-together sheets (yielding 24 sheets with two sides each) for a total of 384 pages (=48 pages x 8) to write on, more than enough for a page-a-day for a year (1 year is 365 days)! The edges are all perfectly even, are squared to the binding and tightly and perfectly glued to create a very refined look. Plus there is a stiff cover page for the front and back just inside the binding, a very nice touch. The leather is a lovely rich brown, very supple, giving a sumptuous feel to the hand. What a joy. It is because of this journal I decided I could start journalling for the first time. I ordered this so that I could start keeping a journal for my newborn daughter. I'm very satisfied with the quality and design. When I pulled it out of the wrapping, the smell was amazing! The paper is nice and toothy and heavy, no bleed through with a fountain pen, and there is a ton of it! This has substantially more pages than any of the other journals I was looking at.Couple of notes:I thought this would be soft covered, not a deal breaker, just different from what I thought. It does have a little flex, that may wear in as I use it more.It also is a touch smaller than it looked in other reviewer's photos, but it is exactly what the dimensions say: 5x7 inches. Again, not a deal breaker at all.My biggest disappointment was that my journal had the first section's page binding tear, so I lost about 6 sheets. The rest of the binding is fine though, so I didn't see any point in returning it.Like I said this is to be a journal for my daughter and will hopefully be a treasured item one day. This was exactly everything I was hoping it would be! I will be ordering this again once I fill these pages.

I am really happy that i bought this.First off when your taking it out of the packaging it has that nice leather and paper smell. The leather exterior is a nice thickness and even though its a little stiff to open at first it gets better after using it for a little while. The paper is a nice thickness, I was a little upset with it because when reading the comments they made it seem like the paper was going to be thicker and its a pretty standard paper thickness. Im only saying that because i write with sharpie pens and although the ink doesn't bleed through you can still see the writing on the other side of the page.I still love the product and will most likely get again when i need another journal.

This is a nice little book, it has a large amount of sketch paper inside, so you won't run out anytime soon. The exterior is real leather, has a nice appearance and feel. The binding of the paper is a bet flimsy so take care when handling. The book was a bit smaller than i expected, kinda making it hard to write or sketch in. But overall, i'm pleased with the purchase. Included inside the front page was a nice note for the company who manufactured it...a company from India, who was very appreciative of the purchase, i thought this was a nice touch.

I really love this journal! I spent forever searching for the right kind of journal with just the right kind of "feel", and this one was it! The case is soft, the pages are thick, and I think the wraparound strap gives it that subtle touch of rustic charm. The only thing I would advise for anyone who loves and wants to buy this journal is to be cautious about how you begin writing in it! Like the doofus I am, I didn't pay enough attention to any distinguishing markers to let me know which way was back or front, so I ended up writing in it backwards AND upside-down! I mean, I don't mind it too much, I just feel like a goof, so guys, if you buy it, please notice the tree symbol with the "Rustic Town" signature on the back cover! Besides my own stupidity, I have nothing negative to say about my experience with this journal!

Having something in writing; I mean in handwriting is a lost form. Lately, I've been nostalgic about the past.This journal has a wonderful leather scent to it and is of very good quality. It's very thick (as is the pages) and definitely vintage looking. It is nice having something special that very few would appreciate.I like to travel and decided to handwrite my journeys into this very handsome journal that looks like something from an old movie. I also created a keepsake box for my journal and hope to one day have notes, pictures and other memorabilia for my children and grandchildren one day -- hoping they will also inherit my love for experiencing new places and cultures.
