First rate quality hinges -- probably the best available of this type...
Self Closing Gate Hinge 2-Pack (Black Finish Stainless Steel)We recently had a 6' tall vinyl fence installed and the company we hired used two of these hinges on each of the two gates. I bought a 2-pack of these and added a 3rd hinge to each gate. They are very strong, of excellent quality and are 100% stainless steel -- even the little pin used for the spring tension is stainless, as are the included mounting screws. Two of these hinges will close a light and well balanced vinyl gate, and three will make self-closing more certain. They won't close a heavy or out of balance gate, as one reviewer complained about. The two hinge halves can be adjusted from being nearly together when closed as per the Amazon photo, to being over an inch apart, to improve the level-ness of a gate or to even-up the gaps to each side of the gate. Not sure how they could be improved.

Just don’t last
These work pretty good and do typically last a year or 2 before they die but I don’t like having to replace so often on my vinyl gate. It’s only a 3’ half height gate but we do use it daily so it gets thousands of cycles per year. I’ve been though several of these now and they always break the same. The bottom cap eventually wears down and snaps off. The spring and center shaft then slide out the bottom and the hinge separates. Same exact thing every time even though they each looked very slightly different like revised designs still breaks the same.Works pretty good until then though.

Not the same hinges in description
Wrong hinges sent!!!! I didn’t use them or even check them til it was too late to return. Can’t use these on my gate. Awesome

Worst item I've bought on amazon
Junk, they didn't come with the hardware so I had to go to Home Depot and buy it then I put them up and they don't work! I needed self closing not regular hinges. So I follow the instructions and adjust them to the tightest recommend and it won't pull my gate closed from 4 inches out. It says rated for a heavy gate and mine is only a 4 foot entry gate. Save your money and don't buy these. I should have spent more and gone with the better ones.
