This is my first impression for the Mousand Pink Brush Hair Straightener. This is my first time using a brush straightener so I don't have an oranges-to-oranges comparison, but I've straightened my hair many times with a standard flat iron (which is a pain in the hinny). I'm mixed African American and Caucasian so I have naturally curly hair, don't know what it wants to do hair. I chemically relax my hair about twice a year to loosen the curls and that's about it. I'm currently waaaaay over due for this processes. I have only done it once this year and the year is almost done. Yup, it's a hot mess.Doing a quick run through I can control the main in about 10-15 minutes, messily parting the hair and running the comb through each section multiple times (about three passes). Pictures included. The brush does not get it as flat as a flat iron, but it gets it flat enough for me, and quicker.The straightener heats up fairly quick, it took it about 4 minutes to heat to the highest settings (450F). The default temperature display is Celsius, but if you hold down the heat up/down buttons at the same time it will switch to Fahrenheit. This is annoying because you have to do it each time, unless you're okay with Celsius. The only other thing I didn't like about this device is the temperature buttons are on the side, right where my thumb wants to rest so I keep changing the temperature. Thankfully, you have to hold down the power button to turn it off or on, otherwise this would be much more of a problem.I like the Mousand Pink Brush Hair Straightener. It straightens my hair quicker and easier than a flat iron. I would recommend this product.Item received in exchange for review. I first saw this product in a kiosk at my local mall but it was too expensive so I’m glad I found it on Amazon for a lower price. The low price is the only positive thing about it. The brush looks very cheap, it is made of plastic and it is very thin. It feels like it’s going to break easily. The power and temperature control buttons are on the handle so it’s hard not to press them while holding the brush. First of all, let me tell you a little bit about my hair. I have a lot of hair and it is very thick some people call it wavy others call it curly. I was excited to have found a product that would make straightening my hair easier and faster but that was not the case here. Yes, it does heat up quick but what’s the point of this if it’s not going to heat up your hair. I had to brush through my hair six to ten times in order for it to become “straight”. I quote that because even after the tenth brush my hair was still puffy and wavy. It does not straighten your hair instead it makes curly hair wavy and wavy hair less wavy. It will not achieve the same results as your typical flat iron. Therefore, if you’re expecting to cut your hair straightening time with this device don’t get your hopes up as it makes it longer instead. Also, you have to work with small parts of hair otherwise it won’t do a single thing. The biggest issue I had with the Mousand straightener was that it pulled a lot of hair out. I did follow directions and brushed my hair thoroughly before using the device even then it would have five or eight hairs tangled on the brush. It claims to make your hair soft but instead it makes it dry and damaged. I’ll admit this brush is a great idea but it still needs a lot of improvement.

concept is great except that my biggest issue is that it DOESN"T HOLD THE HEAT. I set it to the highest and after I went through my hair twice, it went down to 210 and then by the third and fourth strand, the brush was down to 190, 180. My hair was completely dry when I did this and at room temperature. I love the concept and I like that it doesn't give me flat hair like a flat iron BUT the heat didn't hold constant so I'm returning it and going to try a different brand....If anyone has a recommendation for another straightening brush that holds it's heat constant after purchasing this one, I would LOVE to know.

I'm giving this product 3 stars. I will start by saying that it does the job, but not as you may wish. If you're looking to get pin straight hair, steer away from this straightener. It straightens hair but it leaves it with a frizzy puffy look. My hair is in between curly and wavy, so I thought this straightener will make it easier to straighten my hair. I like my hair pin straight, so I was disappointed when it didn't straighten as I wanted. I will be keeping it ONLY because it does help cut the hair straightening time in half. What would've taken me more than an hour with just a flat iron, it took me probably 30 mins total. It straightens my hair enough where I can use a flat iron after to complete my desired look without the long process, even though I still wasn't 100% satisfied. And it DOES pull your hair. I had to remove a lot of hair from the brush at the end. Another negative about this product that annoyed me was the temperature buttons are located on the handles, and I was constantly pressing them, changing the temp, tryng to hold the brush. Results may differ on hair types.
