This chip has rise and fall times less than a microsecond so it should be fast enough for your application. If for some reason the items you receive are based on some other chip, then it may be too slow. Some of hall effect sensors have total rise/fall times greater than 30 msecs, which would not work for you. **Q: How are these wired? There are no clear labels on the board (unless you count 'S' and '-')? What are the three pins?** A: The S pin is the sensor output.
