My Review:There's a line in the story description about this book about "things get complicated"...that is something that doesn't happen in this story. This is a straight-forward, sweet romantic story that was simply an entertaining, light read. I liked these two guys and the story of the way they connect.Jay is the conflicted character in this story. Whoa, my heart hurt for him. Until Landon, he really didn't have the first inkling that he was gay or bi or whatever...definitely not completely straight. And suddenly all the things that didn't seem quite right in his marriage suddenly makes much more sense.I loved that aspect of this story line, because I think there are guys and girls out there that may skirt the edges...maybe bi, maybe gay, but it simply never occurs to them that they could be something other than hetero because that idea never comes into play. This story takes place in small-town, rural south (I think Mississippi? I don't really remember exactly where.) But I live in small town Texas and I can guarantee you that for a lot of people here, they are in the same situation. It's just simply accepted that a person is hetero...there's no question about that being a fact. Another option never even comes to mind. And I find that's somewhat sad because I'd guess there's more people out there like Jay than most people would guess.I loved the very believable explanation for Jay and how this happened. He's a personality that doesn't like to dwell on things. He doesn't "borrow trouble" so anything that might cause waves is compartmentalized in his brain. He shoves it to the side and doesn't deal with those things. I bought it completely and wholly. So, Jay is suddenly having to deal with this whole new reality. At the same time, he's learning a new job, participating in this new relationship, and finding out about a whole new approach toward sex...this isn't a light change in his life.In the midst of all this is Landon. He's the company owner's son and he doesn't hide the fact that he's gay, but he doesn't flaunt it either. He works in a lumber mill with a lot of guys who wouldn't understand. On paper, he also works for Jay, and doesn't want to out him in this small town either. It is a complicated situation.Like I said, I enjoyed this book. I liked Jay and Landon together. Landon is a pretty laid-back personality too, so he is the perfect one to be paired up with Jay while he's sorting through the VERY complicated junk in his head...something Jay isn't used to doing.I'm a big gay-for-you fan, and this book isn't quite that, but it definitely ticked that box for me and that made it a great read in my book. I'd definitely recommend it.Also, it should be noted...I LOVE Landon's dad. He's a good old boy and most definitely isn't comfortable with the fact that Landon is gay. BUT he loves his son and IS comfortable with accepting his son regardless. I LOVED that healthy relationship they had and applaud Kade Boehme for making it like that because it would have been really easy to take it elsewhere with this story line.

Sweet and Sexy Story About 2 Men Who Actually Communicate
bookshelves: grabs-my-heart, fav-authors, m-m, made-me-smile, made-me-think, mc-to-love, made-me-angry, romance-contempory, want-more, steamyRead from October 18 to 19, 2015These two guys together were so sexy yet so mature. I loved their interactions, their journey and them.Jay's wife had left him and their two kids to pursue her life. She was still a part of their lives, but sometimes too much a part of Jay's. She thought she could come and go to his house at will. She was the only person Jay had ever been with. The kids did not take over the story, thankfully. It was a small town with small minds. Jay had never been attracted to a guy that he could remember, but he was attracted to Landon. Sex was suddenly more satisfying and more important....something was different. Jay couldn't put his finger on it. It was like something was missing. Like someone who wasn't Bethany should be here. Then it struck him. Landon. He wished Landon was there. He wished Landon was leaning i with his strong, capable hands touching him.Landon was out to his family. The company busy body (a hate filled person) make sure others knew. Jay wanted Landon and was confused. He'd almost kissed Landon. He didn't even know if he was ashamed of it, or turned on by it. His cock tenting his sweatpants right then gave him an answer he wasn't sure he could handle. He had two BFFs who were always there for him and knew the real him. When Landon thought his BFF Beverly had sex with Jay, Landon went out of his mind. Things changed when it became clear that Jay had had no interlude with Bev. That was a refreshing thing about this story, the MCs actually talked to each other and truly communicated. Then they kissed."God, you're so hard...for me." Landon sounded confused. He may as well join the club because Jay didn't know what was going on, but he had to have more.I also had to have more, more of this hot yet sweet story.

A Beautiful Story from Kade Boehme
OMG, did I love this book! Some of my favorite stories are ones that have a quiet beauty to them and this book was just that. This is a slice of life story that takes place in small town USA. After his divorce, Jay moves back to town and begins working with Landon and his dad. The two strike up an easy friendship and respect for one another. What I loved:*Jay and Landon. Together and individually. Loved that they grew as individuals and as a couple.*The relationship development. I was so happy that they started as friends first and then it progressed into more. I also loved that they were willing to take a chance on each other despite knowing it may not work out. Plus, the honesty and communication between them.*The kids. I was relieved the story never became about them and there was no unnecessary angst.*I'm not going to sugar coat it: the sex. Quality over quantity. lol*Story had a nice easy pace very much like life in a small Southern town.*The epilogue. They were happy, but it also portrayed the trials of real life. Nicely done. All in all this was another winner from Kade Boehme. He writes it- I read it. That's how much I love his stories. If you're looking for a beautiful love story then look no further. 4.8 Stars.**This review was cross-posted at Gay Book Reviews****ARC kindly provided by the author for an honest review.**

Throughly Enjoyed This
This was first story by this author and I must say I loved every page. Jay has split from his wife, who was also his childhood sweetheart though they are still extremely good friends, and is now living in a small town with his two kids, working for Petty Mills where he meets Landon the owners son. Having no real friends in town Jay asks Landon who seems a really good guy if he would like to meet up for drinks and watch football on TV at a local diner. Jay asks in all innocence but Landon is struck by Jay's gorgeous looks and sweet nature, and the two become firm friends, though Landon would love a lot more, he'll take what he can get from Jay. Their affair goes deeper and deeper, but being a small town, tongues start wagging and soon it all blows up and Jay has a battle on his hands with his ex wife and his kids. Reading this story is an absolutely must

Good solid read - Thank You
Very interesting story which lead to some very personal history. Glad that it worked out ok in the end - I think. Many in the same boat are not so lucky and loose a great deal. Enjoyed the book immensely and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. One of those books you have to read the next chapter.

Amazing.
Brilliant story line, love the characters, who are fully rounded, and you can believe in the story line, which is somewhat rare in male/male romance novels

Good story line
A good story line but it doesn't need four or five pages to describe two guys having sex which made the story boring in places. A paragraph is more than enough to convey the feelings of each guy.
