Must-have book for archaeologists using GPR.
An extraordinarily useful book! A beautifully crafted volume, with a wonderful combination of just enough theory (extremely carefully explained), lots of well-defined and well-described case-histories, and a ton of useful data, all depicted with great art-work. If you are planning to use GPR for archaeology, this is the book for you.

Technical and interesting book
This book deals with a very difficult and complex subject. I am a radio engineer interested in archaeology and I feel it is written in such a way I can understand everything when I read slowly. I feel this is an extremely interesting subject for those who have the technical background and who also like detective stories

Great Book!!!
This fascinating and scientifically detailed book examinesGPR(Ground Penetrating radar) and its usage in modern archaeology. The author, Dr. Lawrence B. Conyers, has beenutilizing this method for more than 20 years, and is consideredan expert in the field. The book explores not only whatGPR is and how it works, but looks at a multitude of uses andwhat the visual radar images mean. There is a discussion howgeology affects the results, as well as chapters showing howit is utilized in historic and prehistoric archaeological contexts.Actual sites are examined, and there are highly detailed explanationsof use and results of GPR. While this is a scientific levelbook, it is quite fascinating, as it reveals the future of modernarchaeology. As an alternative to a large crew moving earth, this method allows for easy access to what lays beneath thesurface with minimum effort without destructive side effects.(Note this review appears in the Central States Archaeological Journal Vo. 60 4.)

bon livre
