Unreal Details - Magic Water 18oz

This is the second time I've used Magic Water. Despite a warning that the Resin might be somewhat milky, the first time it looked fine. The first time I didn't seal the pond model well, and most leaked out. What didn't leak out took three days to stop being tacky, in very dry Southern California weather. The next attempt I enlisted a trick I had learned, namely using a piece of plastic sheet and hot glue to form a dam. I went to mix the resin and hardener, and found that the resin was not only cloudy, but almost a paste. It was all I could do to get most of it out of the bottle. Having read the instructions, I heated the resin to liquefy and clarify it, then mixed it with the hardener. After the first 5 minutes of mixing, I decided to heat the mixture in the microwave (as per instructions), as it was still cloudy. After the third time (of 10 seconds each), it finally was clear, and I did the last 5 minutes of mixing. Nothing in the instructions prepared me for the resin being so solidified, and this in sunny Southern California on an upper 70's day. It appears the pour was successful, but considering what we commit to in pouring this stuff on precious models, I would expect it to come in something approaching a standard condition. The two parts of the water mixture also come in a box so flimsy I'm surprised the bottles aren't damaged.

It worked very well for my son's project. Just need to apply multiple times if a thick layer is needed as in my son's project.

I had tried another model water product that product would not set solid. I contacted Unreal Details and got really good information about their product. After using Magic Water, I found that it did everything as advertised - including solidify. Highly recommend this product.
