Construction The cutting head of the Wood Boring Bit is crafted of #65 carbon steel with a 1/2” Hex shank. This bit features a screw-threaded center point for precise bit location and for fast self-starting of the hole. Multiple spurs on the outside diameter increase the cutting performance of the blade, ensuring effortless cutting – even in gummy wood. Replacement Pilot Screw The Wood Boring Bit features a replaceable self-feeding pilot screw which holds the bit in place and helps draw the bit through the wood, improving balance and reducing runout. CG is WAY off!
I ordered one, received it, installed it in several drills (press first) and found it so eccentric that it broke the workpiece loose from the clamps I had holding it. Ordered another, received it, installed it in several drills (press first) and it was the same exact story. Go with a tried and true brand name.To update: I tried repeatedly to contact the seller to rectify the issue of returning the second nd getting refunded, and was ignored. Unless you're looking to throw your money away go elsewhere for your tooling.

Well for my trade I do fire sprinklers and Drill a lot of holes and this bit lasted maybe 10 holes horrible product..
