A teeny bit bulkier than I'd hoped (I wish the prongs folded down), but it serves its' purpose great so the extra bulk is not an issue.I pack this with us when we travel as there is no way to know ahead of time how many, or how conveniently located outlets are in hotels.The 4 usb slots allow for simultaneous charging of both our phones and two ipads. The size of this does not block the second socket, and the extra outlet on the front of this charger means your charging station hasn't compromised still having two usable wall sockets.Side note that for typical US outlets, the photo in the listing will probably be upside down as to how it would be in your home. Typical installation of wall outlets (in the US) are with the two prongs on top and the ground on the bottom. In this typical case, the usb ports would be coming out of the top of the charger, and in order not to block the second outlet, the charger would be plugged into the top outlet. Just flip the photo upside down and this is how it will probably look in reality.This is a minor detail that doesn't affect the usefulness of this item however, take note that if your outlets are installed the way they usually are in the US, the usb cables will be sticking out from the top. Just something to take note of if you're buying this with a specific location and/or cord placement in mind.

Awesome charger. Doesn't quick charge my iPad like the dedicated iPad charger. Not sure the ground is necessary and found that when I was in Japan, outlets usually did not have a ground and so was hard to find places to plug this device into. In the US though this is an awesome charger.

So this came & works fine. I will note that the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that the picture with the plug in hanging down from the outlet is inconsistent with the actual product. Mine plugs in fine but the USB ports are pointed upwards and not down to the floor. (I believe that the seller posted the main photo rotated upside down, please note that the grounded outlet there is upside down to start with.)

Way better than my last multi-port USB charger. Stays in wall, cords don't fall out, and my devices charge.Update 3 weeks after purchase: While I had 2 iPad minis, an iPad, and an iPhone plugged in (as I have every night), they all be an to alternate between charging and not charging. The blue light was flashing on charger. I attempted to push it back into the wall thinking that it had slipped out and noticed it was extremely hot and I had to immediately drop it. Thank God one of my young children didn't try and touch this!!! They would for sure be burnt! This worked great at first. What a disappointment.

The problem I have with this device is that the pictures on the listing show the product UPSIDE DOWN. It does not hang that way when inserted into a normal plug, the USB connectors stick up, not down, so you have a spaghetti socket of USB wires dangling from whatever wall outlet you put this in. The pictures are deceptive and don't show the product in a typical usage scenario. North American outlets have the ground pin on the bottom, not the top as illustrated (even the product labeling is shown upside-down). If you want the product to hang and look as it does in the photos you must turn the wall outlet upside down in your house.

First, I would just like to say that I DID NOT receive this product in exchange for an unbiased review. I purchased it at full price and this is a realistic, honest review.This USB wall charger is the best product of its kind that I've ever used. Not only is it well designed, but it's incredibly well built to boot. It's hard to get excited about a mundane item such as this, but in all honesty I am.There are several things that make this wall charger better than others. It has the ability to auto detect each device, and charges them accordingly. The charging speed is significantly better than chargers costing twice the price.In addition, since this charger incorporates a built in outlet of its own, there's no sacrificing of any wall outlets. Plus, when plugged in, the design is such that it doesn't cover the remaining wall outlet. This is a common problem with other chargers, but not with this one.Next, since this charger incorporates an additional grounding prong, it remains rock solid in the wall outlet regardless of how many devices are attached. The one that I purchased prior to this didn't include the extra prong. As a result, every time I plugged in my devices, the entire charger would come loose from the outlet and fall to the floor.Another aspect of this charger that adds to its stability is the top-in or bottom-in design. By that, I mean that the device cords plug into the top of the charger or the bottom of the charger, not the front or side as on other models. Please note that at the time of this writing, the picture depicts a USA outlet with the ground on the top. Most USA outlets have the ground receptacle on the bottom, thus in such a case, the device cords do indeed plug into the top of the charger. Other USA outlets, however, do have the ground on the top, and in this case the cords would plug into the bottom. This makes no difference whatsoever in the usefulness of the product.The bottom line is that this charger is pure perfection. Seldom do I run across a product where the manufacturer has thought of everything in its design. This is one of those rare products and it most certainly deserves 5 stars.

This charger is incredible. It seems to combine many great aspects into one charger.The charger has a blue light signifying a charge. It can be plugged in upside down or rightside up. It accommodates every cable type and device and charges all fast. It can get semi-warm when charging many devices, but that should be expected. A favorite feature of this device is that is does not use up a wall outlet but offers you to plug in an item to it to still use the outlet.The $14 price tag is incredibly reasonable for the features and speed you get.
