Sensory play is a crowd pleasing activity in our family—our kids get to dive into their creative worlds & happy kids means happy parents—so I excitedly read this book for some more inspirational ideas for future bins.I love how well organized the instructions and tips were, from materials needed, to chapters divided by themes (Amazing Animals, Incredible Pretend Play, Easy Rice Bins, Simple Steam, etc.). My favorite themes are the “Brilliant Book-Based Bins” & “Exciting Seasonal & Holiday” themed bins. So fun and festive!Each activity comes with an age recommendation (most are 18 months+), setup time, materials needed, useful tips, and clear step by step instructions (from setup, play, to what to discuss).Fun fact:Did you know that sensory play supports childrens’ cognitive growth, language development, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction? Combining the sense of touch with the sense of vision, hearing, taste, and smell help build nerve connections in the brain’s pathways to build cognitive skills.

We bought this book to provide different types of play for my 2.5 year old toddler. The book is filled with various ideas with easily accessible material. Clear directions are provided and I was able to use things that are already in my home. My daughter loves Octonauts so we created an ocean sensory bib with blue salt and sea creatures. We paired the corn sensory bin with out barn and animals in which my toddler played independently for over an hour. This book is a wonderful addition to our home and I highly recommend it.

I love following Mandisa on instagram and found out about her book there. #teampreorder I'm so happy I bought it! This book is full of lots of great ideas, not to mention the pictures/bins are gorgeous. I love that she provides alternate ideas (e.g. use this item if you don't have this item) which offers a lot of flexibility. We've done a few of the bins with my toddler so far and she's been entertained for awhile, which is all you can ask for in life. :)

If you are looking for easy, educational, and fun sensory activities to engage your kids, this is the book for you! I’ve been following Mandisa on Instagram and always appreciate her creativity. I love having this book to reference, especially during Covid with 2 toddlers and a baby at home.

My kids and I absolutely adore this book. The hardest part is that they want to do everything all at once! The book is so well organized with beautiful pictures and easy to follow instructions. Bought a second as a gift! Highly recommend.
