The Natural White Handmade Hammock will be a beautiful and unique addition to your backyard. The hammock features natural white yarns from Masaya, Nicaragua. The spreader bar is also handmade in Masaya. These Nicaraguan hammocks are incredibly comfortable and will transport you to the beach as you relax in your own backyard. This hammock, and all hammocks from NicaSwings, are handmade by ladies living in Project Chacocente. The beautiful natural white hammocks are handmade by Reyna, her daughter Esperanza, and daughter in-law Vilma. They generally work from 8 am until 5 pm, stopping to help cook for their families and attend to other family duties. On average it takes 4 days to make one complete hammock. Reyna moved to Project Chacocente with her daughter and three sons. Her teen-age children were reluctant to leave their friends in the Managua city dump but she stood firm and now they are successful farmers and members of the community. Reyna takes great pride in all she does including the making of hammocks. Vilma and her husband Nelson have three beautiful children, Jonathan, Chelsea and Francie. She is a good mother and is very proud of her children. The much needed money from the sale of her hammocks will be used for her children. All the ladies take extreme pride in their hammocks and it shows in the quality of their work. Remember, at NicaSwings you are getting a great Nicaraguan handmade hammock at a fair price, and all the money goes back to these ladies and the Chacocente Christian School. The maintenance and operation of this website are donated so every penny goes back to these deserving families.
