The paper shredder was perfect for me
The paper shredder was perfect for me. I needed to shred a large amount of sheets of retired files. My office shredder has a container but was way too small for this job. So, I mounted portable shredder head over a large trash can with lawn bag liner. It worked perfectly through the whole job of 5 large lawn bags and is still working well. I will use it again next year and save my small cross-cut shredder in my office. Good product.

Excellent for the amount paid.
It is good and it is inexpensive. However do not do more than one sheet. While it claims to do several the shredder will jam. Jams are difficult to clear. Credit card shredder is great. I do like just buying the shredder itself rather than shredder and basket--Saves a little cash.

Biggest waste of 20 bucks ever
Biggest waste of 20 bucks ever. Advertised as an 8 sheet shredder when it barely shreds a single sheet of premium bond folded once. The slot is only slightly wider than 8 1/2". Overheats and shuts off after about 5 sheets fed back to back. I don't know how it would do a credit card if it can't do a double sheet of paper. Constantly jamming and clogged. If you feed the paper off angle and it jams. Spent more time picking out paper shards and jams than I did actually shredding. I only got through maybe 2 dozen sheets tops. Motor is woefully undersized for the machine and the basic case is thin and flimsy. Will not buy again, and do NOT recommend. I will not return because shipping back is almost what the device costs in the first place.

I use it for junk mail, and it works really well for this purpose. Sometimes I can get away with not even taking it out of the envelope if it's not too thick which makes me happy. Not getting junk mail would make me even happier.

Cheap Quality
I bought this shredder 8 months ago. After a few uses it started to jam and Id have to pick pieces of paper out of the shredder to get it to work again. After 8 months and about 10 uses it just stopped working. The shredder wouldnt even go into reverse. I contacted the company they would not send a replacement (there is suppose to be a one year warranty) so I contacted Amazon and they sent a new one next day. I just had to send the old one back to them. Amazon arranged for pick up by UPS and paid for shipping both ways. I do like the size you can use it right over your trash can. But the quality is cheap.

Works well, but for light shredding only.
Loved that I could fit it over a large high-capacity waste basket, which makes emptying shredded paper less frequent. The unit sits securely, no falling off, no vibrating off, sits securely. It shreds well, hasn't jammed once, even with multi-sheets or thicker sheets/items. My complaint is....while it works great, it may not really be up to heavy duty shredding, because with constant feed, even just single sheets, it overheats about every 10 minutes, and automatically shuts off. It takes about 15 minutes for it to "cool down" and start working again. I would only recommend it for very light shredding purposes. Perhaps daily shredding of a few docs you don't need to file/keep. It's NOT for working through file boxes of old documents that you know can just be shredded - - it just won't take constant feed without shutting down too frequently.

I only use it at home so can't comment on how it holds up under extensive use. So far I've not had any trouble and am pleased with it's performance.

A little trouble with the fit, but it works well.
It is nice to not need another object in my small studio! I had to tape a wood 1x2 cut to length to the extendable arm to keep it from falling in the trash can. Without the block, the fixed end fell off the can edge. Other than that, it works perfectly.

Works great. It is able to grip a stack of papers and cut right through - the reverse option is also an interesting feature. Reverse feature comes in handy if there is ever an occasion where bits of paper get stuck inside. Highly recommend this product !

works very good--grabs paper firmly and pulls to shred quickly--putting paper into shredder is almost an exact fit. Put paper in straight and you will have no issues. I did two sheets letter paper at a time. worked very well--lots of power --would buy another if needed. bobalo(Tom)

Great service. On time
Product so-so quality. Doesn't seem durable. May not be worth the price. Great service. On time.

Does not work
The shredder arrived defective, power on light was lit when plugged in but no response to either forward or reverse switch.

It does the basic job but with some frustrations...
This shredder does the basic job but is an example of 'you get what you pay for.' The first thing i noticed is that if you extend the arm at all to fit over a waste basket (which is the idea), the shredder does not stay in place - it slides off or falls in. I finally had to put it over a small recycling bin that the same width of the shredder [and thus the arm of the shredder doesn't need to be extended] which is a bit of a pain because it is so low.Contrary to some reviews, i have found that this shredder will shred smaller paper but the paper has to be placed into the centre of the shredder opening for it to work. What i find most frustrating is that if i accidentally switch to reverse when i mean to turn it off (which is easy to do) the shredder will grab up paper that has just been shredded and bring it back through just enough to get it stuck. If there is even one little piece of paper stuck in the shredder (and i am talking teeny tiny) the shredder won't shred any more until you get that piece of paper out (no easy chore). However, all that being said, it does do the basic shredding job as needed and i will stick with it for now ... but once it goes, i will buck up and pay more $ to get a decent shredder.
