Wonderful female photographer working in an era where field was mostly male

Being saturated with female images produced only for male desire, it is a relief and a kind of miracle to see the female nude as simply herself.

I like this book a lot because it shows a REAL artistic nude portfolio and is the standard of such work.

Wonderful photographs in good reproduction. I had never heard of Ruth Bernhard until I saw one of her figure photographs on Pinterest.

Absolutely stunning collection of beautiful studies of the female form. Artistically posed and alluringly lit. No distracting backgrounds. A must for any art lover . Inspirational.

Ruth Bernhard zählt sicherlich zu den besten Aktfotografen. Leider wird dieses Buch nicht der Qualität ihrer Bilder gerecht. Die Auswahl der Bilder und das Layout des Buches lässt nicht viel zu wünschen übrig. Allerdings ist die Druckqualität der Bilder ziemlich mies. Das zeigt sich besonders in den Glanzlichtern der Bilder die überhaupt keine Definition haben und nur ein weißer "Blob" sind. Mir nimmt das jegliche Freude am Betrachten der Bilder. Drei Sterne, weil das der Inhalt und die Aufmachung des Buches eigentlich sehr schön sind.
