First, let me start off by saying "I did not get a discount on this item. I may be the only reviewer that paid full price .This is a great little gadget. I wasn't expecting much, but when it arrived, I found myself going through the cabinets to find things to seal up. It does take a bit of practice. Some bags sealed well and other's melted. I like the USB charger and a magnet so you can have it handy at all times. I charged it for about 2-3 hrs. before use. In order to heat it up for use, just close it for a few seconds and your ready to go. I figured before I spend money on a food sealer, I would give this a try. Works great on cereals, chips, brown sugar, chocolate chip bags etc. I also tried some frozen items like french fries. Worked good on that too I will get some more for Christmas gifts. My family will love this!

This is a legit review - not like all the others that were paid to review this item. I am very happy with this item. There is a learning curve but it does work well. And it's cheap at $20. Starting the new edge is a bit tricky but thats to be expected. There's no long wait. Just wait a second or two for the glow of the light and start bringing it across. Kind of addictive to be honest. Soon you will be scouring our pantry to find things to seal .... lol

Tends to cut through the plastic easily. Doesn't really seal reliably.

Mesmerizing Bag Sealer comes with a mini USB cord that I usually plug into my laptop to charge. Both the Sealer and cord are similar in color, an appealing fresh green. The Sealer is a very lightweight kitchen gadget that is so easy to use. There is a large magnet located at the bottom of the gadget. I love that it's got a magnet, making it perfect to store on my refrigerator. There is a black bar inside the mouth which is the locking mechanism for this item. The black bar must be pushed back in order to warm up for use. The warm-up process takes a matter of a few seconds to heat up. I just slide it across the top of my bags and press it together. This instantly seals the bags. I have several chip-clips in my kitchen. However, the chip-clips do not really keep things fresh for too long. With this Sealer, my chip-clips are no longer necessary. I'm so happy to have found this Sealing gadget and am loving it. I highly recommend it to all.I received the Mesmerizing Bag Sealer at a discount in exchange for an unbiased opinion. A fantastic product! Keeps all the food fresh, just as if you never opened it. I like the magnet on the back so that I can store it on my refrigerator and not loose it. Works well on chip bags but not on sandwich bags unfortunately.

I’ve never owned a bag sealer before but the idea of the product is very useful in the kitchen. I often have to use a lot of bag clips and bag ties in order to seal the bags we don’t finish. The result is usually a decrease of freshness, staleness, or bugs and insects finding their way into it due to an insufficient seal.This Mesmerizing bag sealer eliminates those problems. I admit it was originally a bit difficult to use at first. You have to make sure to align the heating pads at the edge of the bag perfectly but at the same time, it’s a bit hard to drag the sealer across the bag in a straight line while you’re clamping down on the sealer. It definitely takes some time to get used to, but you eventually get the hang of it.I like how the sealer comes with its own USB charging cord and does not need to use AA batteries. I did notice that there is a protrusion near the charging port that prevents the cable from being plugged in completely. It might be a small design flaw that could possibly be fixed in the future.However, the heating method to seal your bags is definitely effective and creates an airtight seal that doesn’t let air or bugs in. The sealer works on most plastic materials. I also like how there is a foldable cutter that you can slide out so you can cut the seal for the next use. There is also a safety latch that prevents the sealer from clamping together and turning on the heating mechanism to prevent burns.I did notice that after some use, the heat pad does end up getting burnt marks and plastic residue does collect onto it. After it cools, you can remove some of the plastic residue but the burnt marks are permanent. I’m not sure if this will affect the effectiveness of the heat sealer later on, but as of now, this bag sealer works well after some practice.The sealer is portable, chargeable, and has a magnetic backing so you can conveniently hang this on your refrigerator. It’s a very handy device. Now you can save all your bag ties and bag clips for your paper bags. I received this bag sealer for testing and this is my honest and unbiased review.
