This kit puts every tool needed to "stitch in time" at your fingertips. It comes in a thin, leather-like zipper case that easily fits into a purse, brief bag, or overnight case. It contains 11 spools of thread in basic essential colors (black, white, navy, brown), as well as primary colors (red, yellow, green, blue); safety pins; scissors; and several sizes of sewing needles in a plastic case. "Extras" I especially love and haven't seen in a while include a little "tomato" pin cushion, a thimble!, pre-threaded needles, a needle threader, and a nifty tape measure. I love this kit so much I will order several for friends and especially for my nieces away at college. (I have nieces, but this would also make a perfect gift for nephews!)

I like the fact that thread, needles, and other tools are organized and in one place. But I found it difficult to remove the needles from the circular needle case. Moreover, the automatic threader was difficult to use. It took me just as long to thread a needle using the automatic threader than it does for me to do it the old fashioned way --- manually. It was difficult to align the hole of the needle with the hole of the automatic threader so the hook would protrude through it when you pressed the "trigger". Then, once that was accomplished and the thread was hooked around the protrusion and the trigger released, the needle wouldn't come back out! I don't know if I have a defective automatic threader, or just bad technique...but the fact that I can thread a needle manually more easily than I can using the automatic threader is a disappointment. Other than the two needle issues, it's a nice product.

I haven't had it long enough to really put it through it's paces and used all the options, but so far it seems like a pretty solid choice. Quality of components is better than most kits. Range of tools etc is pretty good.

I only needed a seam ripper but then decided I also need to reinforce buttons, etc. Thanks for your follow-up email showing how to automatically thread a needle with the gadget you enclose. I'm surprised I'm so pleased with such a simple product. Thanks.

Nice, neat little sewing kit. Came in a great leather zipped kit. It will be a perfect stocking stuffer for my daughter. I love how the company followed up on the sale, garners them an A+ for customer service.

Love the sewing kit....has everything you could ever need to mend just about everything. Gave this to our daughterSo when we are visiting...I have everything I need to repair all their clothes . :-)

I found this sewing kit and its inner presentation to be low end. The materials inside left much to be desired. The elastic that is suppose to hold everything in its place clearly wasn't tight enough because many items were not properly secured. I thought the quality of the items was no better than what I imagine you could find at a dollar store. And the colors of thread chosen were not realistic for most adult clothing. The red is a fire engine red rather than a medium red tone that might go with most other adult garments, the yellow is almost neon! What the heck!? Well, at least the exterior leather covering and the zipper seem sturdy.

Bought this for my mom as a Christmas gift. It has come in handy sewing up covers with some open seams.
