If you look at my other reviews you will notice that I have reviewed this pad's big brother the Model 40. I had originally purchased that one for my truck but I quickly determined it was too large and hot. I then ordered up this one and it was just as easy to install, the fact that it has an adhesive backing is wonderful. I have had it installed for 6 months now and it works great, it keeps the oil in my truck nice and warm and I haven't had a cold start yet, even during a recent stint of -40. If you have a diesel truck this heating pad is perfect.

excellant product
I bought this for our 05 and 07 diesel Sprinter vans, we live in Maryland and have never really had to worry about them starting but this winter was different. After replacing batteries in both vans I found out about these pads. A little skeptical I bought one and crawled under in the freezing cold and installed in. Even at 20 degrees it wasn't hard to install, took my numb hands about 30 minutes to complete. But I followed instructions and it stuck like glue. If I think it will get below 25 I plug it in when I get home and it starts with no hesitation in the morning. I think this will keep the batteries from wearing out so fast.

Works very well
Installed this on my sprinter van in about 15 minutes. Works very well even in very cold conditions. It was - 14f a couple days ago and it started right up with no hesitation. Would buy again! Also made in the USA so the quality is top notch.

Oil pan heater
This item looked like a great idea. But even though it was listed for my specific vehicle, it will not work for my vehicle. The oil pan on my vehicle has ribs or ridges on it. This prevented me from using it because there was not a large enough flat surface for attaching the heater to. Make sure your oil pan has sufficient flat surface to use this item.

Wolverine heater modification
For my 3 cylinder diesel tractor, this heats the motor oil even at temperatures of 0 degrees. The only thing that I do not like is gluing it to the oil pan. Doing this means that it is always attached and the electric cord must be "hidden" somewhere in the tractor. With this method, the cord could easily be yanked out by some protruding piece of brush or limb ripping off and losing the heater. Hence,I decided not to glue it. Instead I use 2 neodymium magnetic to hold it on during the heating phase. After the tractor starts, I remove everything and store it in the barn so I will not lose it.
