My new favorite plastic alto recorder!
Watch out Yamaha and Aulos there is new competition in the recorder world. I own all the top of the line Yamaha and Aulos plastic alto recorders. I've been playing recorders for 50+ years. This is my new favorite plastic alto recorder. It is very well made. It looks and sounds great. It is solid, heavy, free of defects (cracks, etc.). This recorder has a fantastic tone. Better than my Aulos Haka and my Yamaha 300. This recorder plays effortlessly. The windway is more open than my Yamaha and less open than my Aulos. It is less likely to develop condensation than either. My advice to everyone looking for a GREAT plastic alto recorder is to buy this one before the price increases and/or the supply runs out. I liked it so much that I purchased 2 of them. Love this recorder.

A fine beginner treble recorder
I am quite pleased with this recorder -- except for its intonation. The low register is surprisingly responsive. Notes in the high register speak easily for me, all the way up to the F and G. In the high register it gets quite sharp (but maybe that;s me). I have only been playing for seven months. Though I do practice an hour daily. For the price, I could not be happier. I heartily endorse this flute. Wish I knew who made it and where.

TRIEBERT *NOT TRIBERT*
I ordered this item based on previous reviews, but was unable to find "Tribert" recorders anywhere online. Triebert came up multiple times, and the recorders looked similar. The recorder that came is a TRIEBERT not TRIBERT.Given the quality of the item, I only feel the name should be accurate so that credit can be given where credit is due!The sound is wonderful, the color is perfect, the finish isn't slippery, and the pieces/case look amazing for 20 dollars. I particularly like the flourishes of the design in the bulbs of the instrument. You definitely get more than what you pay for in this instance. My only criticism looks like the golden leaf "Triebert" lettering on the head piece is already wearing off after one use, which again makes me wonder if the brand name has changed/is changing or something? WHATEVER they end up calling it, the musical quality of the instrument makes up for anything. Not annoyed :)

A Dream Come True!
Absolutely fabulous! I had no idea it would sound so good, or that it would be so easy to play! I have been playing a soprano recorder for forty years plus, and when I had tried to play an alto before, I found the holes too wide apart and the bottom note shaky. This instrument has neither one of these problems -- and it sounds like a dream! Also, it looks beautiful and comes with a nice case and some little accessories that let's you know this outfit really cares about quality. I am discovering a whole new range of recorder music with this fine instrument -- and at a price I did not think possible! I am in heaven! Thank you, Tribert, you are a class act, and the sound of your recorder cannot be outdone by the very angels above!

It looks very nice and professional
I have played the soprano recorder since I was a girl, and I still have my wooden soprano recorder from when I was 10 years old. This is my first alto recorder. I have relatively small hands for a woman, but I have no problem reaching the holes (maybe my fingers have become flexible from other musical instruments) . If anything, after playing this a few times, it was hard to readjust to the small size of the soprano recorder. It does not have a plastic cheap look at all . It looks very nice and professional, almost as if it was made from wood. It has a nice sound, but I personally like the wooden sound very much, and I think the sound is slightly plastic like. I played it for my two second grade classes at work. One class liked the sound of the wooden soprano better, the other class liked this one better. One disadvantage, which I think was in one of the reviews, is that the mouthpiece clogs easily. You need to be extra careful not to get it wet while playing, because it makes the sound much worse and sometimes stops making the sound. That is in any case an important skill for the recorder. The price was amazing. It seems to be worth more and also came in a very nice sturdy case, with a cleaning rod, recorder cream and note chart. I'm very happy with the purchase and really enjoy playing it.

Sounds like a banshee getting murdered
This thing goes wildly squeaky and off key with barely any breath moving thru it. I’ve played wind instruments for years, so I do have breath control, but this thing... oh, dear. Would have returned it but was out of town when it arrived.

An Amazing Recorder! Full, Rich, Beautiful Tone!
Strong alto recorder!! Excellent, beautiful, rich resonant tone throughout all registers. It has been mistaken for a high end wood recorder because of its full body sound. Can take a lot of air. A bit tricky on the high register; (high D through F) it just takes practice. Great for beginner, intermediate, and advance players. Fantastic recorder for contemporary music; so many possibilities! Native American music also sounds wonderful on this recorder. So happy I purchased this instrument! What an amazing find!Just an extra note: I have small hands, 5 inch spread from index to pinky. I was patient, stretched, and only played a few minutes a day, then gradually increased the time. It has been 5 months. I have no problem playing this alto recorder. 😊

Not great.
I received a recorder that was labeled Triebert. This seems like a really nice, quality recorder - however, it is not accurately tuned. It's fine for playing around with, but if you're in the least bit musically inclined or have an ear, you will not find this satisfactory. The reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because the case it came in is pretty nice, (included grease, cleaning rod, etc.) and I can use it for another instrument.

Sounds, looks and feels good.
This is my first alto recorder so I had no preconceived expectations other than what I read in the reviews. Keeping this in mind, I like the sound, look, and feel of it. The sound is warm and easy on the ears, while it looks expensive and has a little heft to it. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase.
