The color is a milky translucent white, not opaque. I just wanted a neutral-toned case that would be light enough to stand out against dark surfaces, so this serves my purpose.It's smooth and soft on the outside, and the diamond pattern is etched into the TPU surface that contacts the phone. The silicone is grippy enough that it won't slide easily on a smooth, flat surface, but isn't hard to take in and out of your pocket (or at least it doesn't seem like it so far). The inner TPU is flexible but rigid enough that it feels like it'll offer some drop protection to the back and corners of the phone. Because the buttons are surrounded just by the flexy silicone, they're very easy to push, with no squish, increase of effort, or loss of precision. The silicone has a very slight raised lip around both the camera and the front glass that keeps both from being scratched when the phone is placed on flat surfaces. It's a very thin case overall that adds minimal bulk to the phone, as advertised.For $4, I'm pleasantly surprised! The one downside so far is that it says "henpone" on the inner surface, which I wasn't able to remove with a magic eraser or isopropyl.
