First of all, I have received NO discount or free products for my reviews.FrogLily Professional Artist Gel Ink Pens Set provide the absolute best experience I have ever had with gel pens.* The stylus makes all the difference in the world! By sticking out beyond the end of the pen's barrel the user has a clear view of what they wish to accomplish being writing, coloring, or doodling. I have found that the stylus is fantastic for working with precise areas in adult coloring books, allowing me to be able to see what I am doing AND where the ink is going simultaneously. This is not the case with pens that have "soft grip cushioning" and a "normal" gel pen barrel;. I prefer FrogLily gel pens for precision over ANY other product available.* FrogLily Gel Pens are thinner in diameter than other gel pens, but easy to handle. I use a light touch with my gel pens anyway, but the thinness of the barrel is a definite plus. Less plastic barrel equals less waste when done. DO NOT allow yourself to believe this means a lack of ink!* FrogLily Gel Pens have a good deal of ink within the barrel. I have been using one blue color over 95% of a mandala I have just completed. I did NOT have to worry about running out of ink either! The ink cartridge is the same diameter as the inks from my Gelly Rolls and has the same amount of ink within them. (I have read that most of the ink produced for gel pens come from the same manufacturer.)* FrogLily Gel Pens contain a better color selection than I have seen offered before. Everything my favorite is a pale melon orange that coordinates well with all other colors. I wish my camera was working so I could add a photo!* FrogLily has provided an excellent case for their gel pens! Each pen is securely held, when you push gently into place. There are 3 locking tabs to prevent the case from flying open, if dropped. I dropped my case 2 or 3 times, 1 time by accident, and the pens did not budge out of place. The smooth surface of the case makes it the perfect travel companion too. There are 4 original pieces of art to color - on photo paper - included with the pens. This set of 4 fits perfectly into the case, making them the obvious choice to color while traveling.SUGGESTONS:1. Wiped the tip of your gel pens BEFORE and AFTER each use. This prevents any dried or wet ink from forming. Wiping off the pens before use is really just in case you forgot wiping the tip before you put the pens away. I also wipe my tips while I am working. This is especially helpful with the glitter and metallic gel pens. Cleaning the tips with a soft cloth is preferable to tissues or paper towels which can leave fibers behind.2. Should any gel pen (none of my FrogLily Gen Pens have ever done this!!!!) appear to be dried, try this trick I read about from another pen reviewer! Simmer some water in a large frying pan or dutch oven, something large enough to hold another container into which you will place your died gel pen. (Do NOT place your gel pen into hot water or under running water!), after a few moments remove pen and try it out. It should work.3. Another tip I have read about: Hold your gel pens between your warm hands (we icy finger people cannot do this) and simply roll it back and forth until the heat from your hands' friction makes the pen work again. How reliable this particular suggestion is, I can't tell you.4. I numbered the bottom of my case to correspond with an index sized card on which I put a color chart. Although the pens have color indicators within the clear tip cover, I need to see the color laid out. As papers differ, the colors may appear different. A "regular" coloring book with the darker, unbleached paper may tone down color, whereas a bright white paper will give you a bright color. Just something to think about adding to your coloring life.* ENJOY YOURSELF WHILE YOU ARE USING YOUR FROGLILY PROFESSIONAL ARTIST GEL INK PENS SET!I would recommend the FrogLily gel pens for older children, teens, and adults.I would purchase the FrogLily gel pens for family & friends.

What a great product! At my house, gel pens are like currency. People are trading them for other goods and services in our house. The kids love to trade their different types and colors of gel pens. These come in a nice case, with a great selection of colors. They work great, gliding right on to the page, and the kids are creating artistic masterpieces with them. Great product, and I will probably buy again for the next birthday that comes up. Thanks FrogLilly for making quality products! I've bought several gel pen sets on Amazon, and this is the best one.

I paid the listed price, unlike some of the reviewers here. No matter, these are worth it. The tips are very fine, but you can still fill a larger area quickly and fluidly. The "metallic" colors are actually a bit subdued, and pen lines will show if not careful. The "neon" pens are amazing, really much richer looking than I expected, not gaudy at all. These are my favorites. The "glitter" pens may surprise you; the grain is very fine and the colors are remarkably deep, you may not notice the metalflake right away, until you see it in oblique light. Lots of fun!Everybody loves these, and everybody remarks on the clever case; I had planned to hoard them, but spouse, children, and grandchildren have all been at them, yet no pen has gone missing.

I rarely feel that I need to write a negative review. I buy every single product - no one gives me anything!!! From day one these pens have been awful. They would start and stop, never write again. Most times I don't even bother to write a negative review, but I have really had it with these pens ( both the metallic and this big set). I have a really nice mandala that I have put a lot of time and effort into....very intricate. I should have known better than to give these pens one more chance on a really important project. I would get just enough done, that one of these pens would have to be used throughout and it would quit working! There are loads of bubbles in the ink barrels of almost every pen. Now I have a ruined Coloring project and wasted a lot of money (I am disabled and my materials don't come easy). Needless to say, I want to tell everyone not to waste a penny on these pens. You will be just as disappointed and frustrated as I am.

These pens took a little getting used to. The flexible tip has proven to be so versatile. I'm surprised I like them as much as I do because my favorites have long been Sakura having tried many brands out there. But this kit was so cute and having a nice case to keep them in made me decide to try and now I just love them. I plan on getting another set to give as a gift because I think that these, along with a coloring book or two, make the perfect gift for a friend or loved one who wants to "try" coloring. I'll add a small set of watercolor pencils to really round out the gift. But back to these pens....I don't usually like the "pastel" pens in other sets but these I just love. And the glittery colors are great - especially the black and brown - hard to find a sparkly brown, usually. Again, this set is a sure bet for a gift for yourself or someone special. UPDATE: I bought a set of these for a friend and she didn't care for them near as much as a fatter-tip set I'd previously gifted her with. The moral of the story is that if the tip size is important to you, keep in mind these are very thin. I really like the vibrancy of the colors in the neon and glitter. I did deduct a star because the two yellows are slow-flowing and kind of "skip." Another plus is the great sturdy case they come in. This set, along with a good "fat tip" set like Sakura gels make for an excellent collection of gel pens.
