I did a home remedy by keeping with a cut lemon and some Cloves in the freezer for few days, it did help with bringing the smell down by about 20%, but still the freezer was unusable due to the unacceptable level of smell. I was trying to find a solution or else will have to trash the refrigerator. On searching on google, I found this product and then watched few videos on youtube of people using it. I decided to give it a try and if it does not work, then throwing the refrigerator was the only other option. My expectations were that it will reduce the smell considerably, but I will have to deal with a low level smell for the rest of the life of the refrigerator. We tried the Biocide shocker since it was based on a gas (instead of liquid) and thought it would have a better chance of penetrating to the hard-to-access smelly areas. We left it in there for the full 24 hours. Gosh, it worked great! There was only a very faint residual smell like a chlorine swimming pool but we aired out the RV and it smells fresh again. After carefully following the instructions for the product, we came back to the camper and it was all over the place.
