Ball Canning - Lids & Bands Widemouth - Case of 12 - 12 CT

This product is not authentic Ball; it is a cheaply made knock off. The box arrived open and damaged. The rings and lids were bent and unusable. I have used Ball for years, and this is not Ball. I can not recommend this vendor

Though the actual product was as expected, what I didn't expect was an open box and a package that smelled horrible like cat urine. The package sat on my porch for only a few minutes and no neighborhood cats were on my porch. Once I brought it into the house my fur babes sniffed it out and went bananas. Really bad

Luckily I have a couple spare rings, so I didn't bother returning them, but annoying all the same!

I ordered 2 boxes and received them. One box had all 12 lids and rings but the other box only had 7. The box didn't look to have been opened so I assume this took place at the manufacturing/packing facility. I returned them for a refund then found the same product for a lower price on the Ball website.

Ball or Kerr are the ONLY brands I will buy from now on. Ordered some that were made in China and they DID NOT FIT my jars! I ordered these, also, but they were a little pricier than what I can get them for in the stores: about $7.99. Lesson learned: buy EARLY in the stores so you have them when you need them!

I am please that the lids and bands appear to be in good condition. They were all bouncing about in the thin mailer. The box that they should have been in was in totally torn apart. I am glad they survived the trip.

...for canning supplies. I ordered some Chinese cr@p, rings and caps, a week ago and promptly returned them. Ball has been around for decades and IS the benchmark for quality in canning supplies. Grandma knew, now you can too. Settle for nothing less.

I have not used this newly purchased item yet, but the ones I have purchased in the past that are the Ball brand work great. They seal and tighten easily. No problem with the rings getting cross threaded like another brand I have used. I only used another brand recently because I could not find the Ball brand locally. I will definitely stick with ball brand from now on!
