Amazing experience to see a VR video; badly designed viewer spoils it.
It's impossible to wear this with glasses on. Even without glasses, it's very uncomfortable to wear with the strap in place. The lenses are fixed in the cardboard so maybe they match the spacing of your eyes, but then again, maybe they don't. If they don't match up exactly with your eyes, you see double images. I could close one eye to watch the NY Times virtual reality video, and it was amazing to turn one's head to one side and see the field of view shift to that side. Turn your head up and you look at the ceiling or sky. Turn your head down and you see the ground or the floor. Amazing, but the inflexible design of this makes it very difficult to enjoy the viewing experience. In addition to the poor design: The head strap is barely long enough for a head that wears a small hat size (mine). Assembling it is like being told to restore an unfolded origami. The instructions printed on the cardboard don't tell you or show you that it's necessary to fold a couple of pieces over on themselves. There are numbered tabs, but until you re-fold the origami properly, they don't line up. The illustration on the outer flap helps, but you're meant to discard it. Bad design, bad instructions. Unfortunate, because the concept is brilliant. Llook elsewhere for a better viewer.

Good to try out the VR capabilities of the phone ...
Good to try out the VR capabilities of the phone bug it fell apart and the double side tape does not stick any more after a couple months. getting the phone in and out is kind of a pain as is adjusting the volume. It will not accommodate phone cases that well especially it its a thick one. You will not be able to use your glasses with this, and if your eyes buldge out like me, it will constantly rub against the eye peice. Furthermore, the nose rest is very uncomfortable. If you sweat a lot, or just have oily skin, this product will turn icky in a few uses.If you are curious about VR and don't want to spend a couple hundred on an actual VR set, this might scratch your itch before you invest. But as you might expect, this is no long term product.Overall, I'm glad I bought it to experience VR at a cheap price. I will consider getting a proper set if it comes bundled with a deal in the future.

Pretty cool VR, but has its flaws. Keep in mind, there is NO headstrap.
After 1 night of playing around with this VR cardboard V2, I have to say that it is pretty cool. Riding a roller coaster, or attempting to escape the room really gives you a whole new experience.I wonder if there is a wireless controller that can work with VR games to control the movement rather then having to press on the phone or use the crosshair. One thing that I am really disappointed about is the fact that there is NO headstrap on V2. Now I know there was no mention in the description if there was or wasn't a headstrap, but not even the company's website offers a headstrap for this. I was holding the box to my face as I was trying to enjoy the VR. This really took away from the experience. The company told me to buy from another seller. One other thing is that the bottom and sides of the cardboard are open and you can easily see the surrounding areas. I was using my hands to cover up any light. Another reviewer mentioned this and modified the VR a bit. I'm not sure if this is with all VR's or just these. After doing a little more research, it looks like the description of my order clearly states that a headstrap is included (see attachment). Now I think I will return this item as I have not received what I ordered.

Fun
Good for the price. A lot of the apps aren't working, they're blurry or I'm seeing double. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the viewer and compatibility, or the apps themselves. Also if you have an iPhone there's going to be apps you can't use because you can't use the magnetic button. But it's been fun to play around with! My iPhone 5s fits nicely inside. You'll need some electrical tape or something soft to pad the nose area because it's painful when using the elastic band. I read that a lot of people were having trouble putting it together but it was very simple, I had it together in less than a minute.

Great, Inexpensive Way to Try VR
Like it!...and the Headband to hold it on, but the center interior cardboard will not stay in the slit. Guess I will have to tape that too. But it provides a fun experience. Just be sure you have a clear space to play games. I have been cleaning more germs with disinfectant in a game on this, than I ever do in real life! Apps help you go around the world, even. I have stood beneath the Eiffel Tower, while sitting on my couch...and looked all around, and up!

Great intro to VR.
For a piece of cardboard, this did exactly what I expected it to and more. Getting my phone centered in the headset took a bit of practice, but once I got that down, it works flawlessly as a introductory VR headset. The button worked much better than expected.Cons: The Velcro they used wasn't attached to the cardboard very well and one of the Velcro pads ripped off the very first time I used it. Also, it comes with a rubber band so that you can keep the device on your head without needing your hands, but let's be honest: no one uses it because it's INCREDIBLY uncomfortable to wear cardboard on your head. There's also no good way to use the string as a head strap. I would pay an extra $5 for some basic rubber straps that they have on cheap swimming goggles over the rubber band, honestly, as that would stay in one place, and I could at least pad the cardboard with felt.Overall, an excellent way to become introduced to VR.

Great Starter VR
Purely basing my star review on what the stars actually mean. Is this the perfect item? Of course not. But a 5 star rating means that I love it and that is true without a doubt. This is my first experience with a VR headset and the experience is mindblowing. After downloading a cave vr app it actually felt like I was looking over a cliff. Setup was easy and simple. Very good starter. Cant wait to upgrade to Samsung Gear VR - Virtual Reality Headset . Have fun

Good introduction to VR.
A great introduction to the world of VR with only a few small issues.Like many, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and decided to purchase one of these while I wait.My phone (Galaxy S6) fits nicely although it moves a little from left to right causing the screen to be out of alignment. This has the affect of removing the 3D effect until it is properly aligned. One major issue I had with this is the way it huts the bridge of my nose. It really should have some kind of padding as the cardboard cuts in to my nose when I use it reducing the amount of time I can use it before having to re-adjust/remove it.One of the velcro patches used to hold the phone compartment closed has also come off of it but a bit of super glue fixed that. That was until the velcro patch took off a layer of the cardboard. At the moment, the other velcro patch is holding things in place but if that goes, it is unlikely to be of any use as there would be nothing to hold my phone in place. As a cheap introduction to VR, this is perfect and I would recommend trying it out if you have the right phone.

tl:dr Reasonable VR enclosure with few niggles
Seems to do a fairly good job of offering a basic VR experience on your phone (even if the experience is that of a person who needs glasses and/or has rubbed vaseline in to their eyes) but is a bit diffuclt to put together due to completely garbage instructions, the carboard piece that is used to seperate both halfs of the screen is quite poorly designed and doesn't stay in the slots so always seems to be slightly diagonal. The only real criticism I have is more to do with the VR experience on a phone itself: you have to be sure to load the software you want and then put it in the enclosure. Also the weight of my headphones pulling down on one side of the Galaxy S4 the volume button was constantly being pushed in the down position but again that is due to the design of my phone more than this item.Definitely requires a bit of research before using it so you've got plenty of stuff to play around with once you use it, would also probably benefit from a phone with a higher resolution screen as on the S4 the pixels are quite noticably magnified. Also be aware that there are 2 QR codes printed on the enclosure, the one with the picture of a VR headset is the one you want to scan in the Google Cardboard app.Overall it's a reasonably priced and easy to put together VR enclosure that gives you a taste of what you could expect from a higher quality VR headset for your PC, I'm definitely more interested in VR than I was before this little taster.

3D cheap but fun
#####Just a quick update to the review below, I purchased another set of 'Cardboard' and they are still wonderful, my aim is to take these to work as I think they would make a great Marketing item. They are easy to put together, work well with Android and Apple phones (haven't tried Windows phones) and are great fun.I received this second order at a discount for an honest review but I would have happily purchased these at full price as they are brilliant.#####These made Christmas, they are simple, quick to put together (the join points are labelled though you may need to look on the reverse side if the card is to be folded back on itself) and great fun.We did have one pair where one of the lenses fell out but that was due to heavy handedness rather than poor build quality, after all it is made of card, but all worked as expected after using the QR code on the side, had no luck with the NFC until the QR code was used. One thing, keep an eye on any small children using them as I had to stop a nephew walking into a door, but I suppose that shows how good the 3D is for the price.

Cheap, but works very well.
This works absolutely perfectly. I'd initally spent more on a plastic 'google cardboard' type product which ended up not working at all as advertised. I wasn't expecting this one to be so much better. It is more comfortable to wear than the more expensive plastic one I purchased, easy to assemble, and everything just worked as it was supposed to. The NFC works great if you download an app called 'trigger' and set it to open the google cardboard app, but I didn't as it makes it easier to use other VR apps. I'd never used the NFC function on my phone, and it's great how this makes use of rarely used sensors to great effect. The washer shaped magnet works fantastically well as a switch. If you use the latest version of the youtube app, you can watch most youtube videos in google cardboard, and there's apps to watch downloaded or streamed videos too. (VR cinema is one for android) It held my phone great, and it's a great cheap way to try VR.

iPhone 6 double vision fiasco
Maybe I bought the wrong version, maybe there's some trick to getting it in place but try as I might I couldn't stop the double vision with the iPhone 6. Serious double vision. The kind that makes you wonder why you ever thought of strapping your phone to your head with a bit of cardboard in the first place. The kind that makes you feel sick for an hour afterwards. Bad experience with this ladies and gentlemen, do not buy if you have an iPhone 6.P.S. If you value your phone, use this over carpet. The velcro isn't exactly secure...
