A much needed improvement from original
I am an average fitness level an these DVDs really got my heart pumping.(Standing Curl 20lbs 3x 10 for reference, not bragging). The format is much cleaner an the commentary is normal, motivating but not over the top. A HUGE improvement from the others. The resistance DVD is my favorite. Does the thing kettle bell workouts do best, work multiple muscle groups an engages core. Also gets heart pumping!1,000 X's times improvement from the original KettleWorx. The cheese factor of the initial KWorx with Ryan Shanahan helped our young son to want to do this with me. But as an adult the cheese, and the cut & paste pieced together format of the initial program was just awful. New people would suddenly appear & disappear, his commentary wouldn't be relevant or flow with what was previously said. It was just painfully awful. That in mind, I did do it faithfully for a month an I got stronger, quickly. It was just, oh.so.cheesy.

Decent Diet/Exercise plan
This Review is broken into 2 parts, the first part is just information about what you get in the kit, and their description of the process/plan. The second part of the review is my opinion of the contents, plan, and exercises.REVIEW PART 1:Contents:-2 Kettle Bells (I got the 5lb and 10lb)-Stretching strap-Poster to track your progress-DVDs of work out (as well as an additonal DVD with relaxation/rejuvenation techniques)-Roller for stretching, however, the green foam roller in the product picture (looks sturdy and high quality, the one I got was solid, pressed black styrofoam, feels pretty cheap and flimsy-see pics for further explanation)-Small book with explanation of their "3's Meal Plan"This is an 8 week program that is divided into 3 phases. I have copied the phase descriptions from the book that came with the system, so I can give an accurate account of what exactly the process is:PHASE 1 (weeks 1-2): IGNITE ITDuring the kickstart phase of the KettleworX 8 week Rapid Evolution Program focus is on cleaning eating of BEST quality foods-least processed refined. This Phase is the most critical phase of the 8 weeks you are training your body to follow the POWER OF 3's philosophy. This will be the most challenging of the phases to get through.Stay focused on your goals. If you can make it through this Phase the rest is a piece of cake (No pun intended).PHASE 2 (weeks 3-6) BLAZE ITDuring Phase 2 you can start to incorporate Better to Good quality foods into your meals plan. These foods fall into categories that people tend to crave more. It's Ok to eat these foods, but remember to stick to the POWER OF 3's.PHASE 3 (weeks 7-8) KINDLE ITNow that you have the meal plan dial in and your body is a lean mean operating machine, reward yourself! For the last 2 weeks of the program treat yourself to 2 "cheat meals" (1 each week). You have a free pass to self indulge. A "cheat meal" is not defined as an "all-you-can-eat" meal. You still need to follow the POWER OF 3's philosophy (a protein, a carb, and a fat). But now you get to eat whatever you want. This is the one meal that you get to reward yourself with all week. ENJOY!CONCLUSIONRegulating your blood sugar level is the most effective way to maintain your fat burning capacity. Never skip a meal, especially breakfast, and eat every3-4 hours throughout the day. Eating frequently prevents hunger pangs and the binges that follow, provides consistent energy, and may the be the single most effective way to maintain metabolism efficiency. You must also be sure to eat the appropriate daily amounts of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.REVIEW PART 2: So, that is the plan (as outlined in their literature). Now to get to my experience/review with this system and it's various components.Workouts:The DVDs have great workouts! They are 20 minutes, but really make the most of the time. The instructor is likable and motivating, without being pushy or "over the top". The exercises themselves vary depending on what stage of the process you are in (I will explain that in a minute). But they do get more intense as the weeks go on, to keep you ramping up in your burning of fat and building muscle.Meal Plan:This left me wanting more! It's a small book, or pamphlet really, that explains the basics of their "3's Meal Plan". Which is basically just eating every 3 hours. It outlines what exactly you should be taking in in the way of Proteins, Carbs, and Fats. It gives a few (3-5 food items) examples of foods with good and even better amounts of each of these items. Then it has some recipes. The thing that I didn't care for with this is that it only really gave you 8 meals/snacks worth of recipes, but this is an 8 week program, so do I eat the same 8 meals that whole time? It didn't do a whole lot to help explain that, or help me understand what else I am able to eat. For that reason, I feel like this is a tough diet to stick to, b/c you're eating so often (6 times a day) but they don't really give you a good explanation of how to maintain the food choices they.Overall, if you look at the "Before and After" pictures posted by the makers of this system, it is clear that this diet is for someone who is not terribly overweight. It's more for someone who wants to lose like 10-20lbs and get toned. It's a decent plan, not anything revolutionary, but just like any diet/exercise plan, it really depends on the commitment level of the person taking on the plan.I am about 10lbs overweight and at the start of the plan (week 2). I don't normally eat lots of junk food, I never drink soda and eat lots of fruit and veggies, but so far, I am finding the meal plan difficult to stick to (for the reasons I described above-6 meals a day is quite a few, and they don't do a great job at giving enough ideas about what to eat for a good variety, so I've spent quite a bit of time doing some research online based on the protein, carb, and fat guidelines). I feel like this plan will work for me, but I still am not sold on the permanency of this plan. The plan itself talks about how this is not a diet, but a lifestyle change, I'm not really seeing that, as you have to stay on their POWER OF 3's diet to maintain even when the 8 weeks is done. So, as I said above, the success and longevity of this is going to be up to the person who is doing it.I came to the 3 star review b/c I felt like the stretching roller, and plan explanation/recipe book were not as high quality or in depth as I felt they were advertised to be. Additionally, this plan isn't anything revolutionary or different than many other plans like this on the market, and despite the fact that they advertise this as "NOT a diet, a lifestyle change" it's still a diet, and as I've stated above multiple times, that means it's up to whoever is doing it to make or break it.

Big Improvement from the original 6-week series!!
This was an exceptional value! The most important plus is it's a whole new instructor and the quality of the instruction and editing far surpass the previous version. I've been doing the series for 2 weeks now and already seeing a difference. It's good to have a person doing a modified version along with the professional instructors. Be sure to get the 8-week version and not fall for the 6-week series. They are vastly different.I'm an office worker that doesn't get much time to put into exercising. Being able to get a total workout in 20 minutes, with the ability to add an additional 10 is doable for almost anyone. It is a very good workout, which you can increase or decrease by the weight of your kettlebell.Highly recommend the 8-week rapid evolution!!

Much better than 1st kettleworx dvd
Much better than 1st kettleworx dvd. This program is amazing, I've lost 15 lbs and I am on day 36. 20 min plus extra 10 min dvd gave me better, faster results than the beach body dvds that I own. I would recommend to anyone who wants to get fit and feel great

It'll kick your butt!
I'm not out of shape by any means, and I exercise regularly to Jillian Michaels beginner DVD, which do provide a balanced total body work out. That said, this program really does work you out, and I was feeling fatigue in new place after workout number one, meaning it was working areas I was missing before. The training sessions are 20 min each with a 10 min high intensity option to add to the 20 min ones. That's my one caveat with the intro video, the guy tells you you can see amazing results in just 20 min, 3 times a week, for 8 weeks, but then you look at the suggested training calendar and all the workout days are a 20 min with the added 10 min high intensity, so it's actually 30 min, 3 times a week. Other than that it seems like a good program for those worth a little bit of workout experience. Problem is with Amazon's vine program requirements, I have to review this within 30 days, so I'm nowhere near going through all the videos. Maybe I'll update the review later, but for right now as you get are my first impressions, which are mostly positive.
