I read a line from one of the distributors of this product that stated that when hurricane Sandy hit, the Coast Guard bought out all of their inventory (actually their 20 Liter variety). These are the actual NATO cans and, while you certainly pay for it, there are no equals out there. Built for punishment. Be sure to get the spouts which sell separately. They work better than any I've ever used.

Well built
I bought this can with the holder and fastened it to my FJ Cruiser rack while on a back road expedition. Works out perfectly becase of the low profile design. Easy fill and pour.
