Uncomplicated and top performing
Pros: Simplicity, low smell (whats there is pleasant), non-toxic and great interaction with the formulator George.Only Con so far is that the CLP bottle leaks. It doesn’t come with an oil seal on the top of the bottle underneath the twisty cap. It is a bummer to waste an expensive product. But, to their defense they do include the needle dropper. This two product system is the heart to a great gun cleaning. I wipe everything down with a patch soaked in the CLP including the bore. Then I wipe or brush the bore through with the solvent. Then wipe everything clean with dry patches, including the bore. Then I dab oil back in the key areas ID’d by the manufacturer or wear marks. Lastly I wipe the bore through with CLP to neutralize the solvent. Then a final patch through the bore to dry and shine. This method with these products has given me the cleanest bores and smoothest actions yet.I’ve tried Slip2000 products, Breakfree CLP, Ballistol, G96 Classic Gun treatment and prolix. Breakfree is probably my second favorite. Breakfree tends to be so thin/light that it migrates. Ballistol cleans the best of the CLP-marketed products, but it smells terrible and I’ve experienced zero customer support when I email them. It is hard to say anything bad about G96. It works well, smells oddly good, but I just wanted something even better. G96 also has amazing customer service both via email and by phone. Slip2000 products are generally good to include their cleaning kits and their hardware are some of the best offered, however, they market that their product (EWL) will just essentially wipe clean and does not attract carbon or deposits. Their claims were not my experience. I could never seem to get a bore clean with their 725 or EWL. Lastly, Prolix makes some stout claims to include “a light citrus scent”. Prolix is a great cleaner, but it has a very strong windex meets orange peel smell that is not pleasant to my nose. Prolix hangs its hat on the fact it was mentioned in a book back in the 90’s as well as its endorsement by IPSC without stating hard numbers or facts. Prolix has good customer service, but for a one product system it is complicated to use and apply. If you have questions about Weapons Shield, check out George on youtube showing how well Weapons Shield perfoms under extreme pressures. Then add in the non toxicity and the very timely customer service from George himself, and I think you’ll want to give this product a chance. He also formulated the super popular FP-10. Weapons Shield is supposed to be a really big improvement upon the FP-10 formula.Other tools I use to assist with cleaning: Dewey brass pistol rod. Pro shot 2 inch square patches. Otis tactical kit for long guns with otis 3 inch patches and 2 inch patches for the smaller calibers. You could just use the otis tactical kit or otis rifle kit with the Glock brand polymer cleaning rod and multi-caliber bore brush. The instructions on the back of the Weapons Shield bottle recommend nylon brushes. Wilson Combat actually offers a nice kit for pistol calibers with nice nylon brushes. Pro Shot also has nice nylon bore brushes and coated rods for long gun cleaning. Lastly the dual-tipped, military-style green brushes are my scrubber of choice. You can also grab a big pack of micro fiber rags to use for cleaning and wiping. With regular cleaning and good bore brushes, I think you could pass on the Bore solvent and simply clean with the Oil alone. If you’re still reading…thank you. Have a great day!

Slicker than greased banana peels! Please read.
Just buy it already! You did not stumble on this product or this review by accident. You are reading this because you've heard of, or know of it and are unsure of it and need confirmation or denial to either establish or banish the purchase. I confirm period. If you need more than that, keep reading. The price is right, it works very well, it doesn't smell and the bottles, containers and applicators are nice and have not leaked. I love it in all my guns...bolt action- lever action- semi auto rifles- semi auto pistols- revolvers in ANY weather conditions. I have a climate that has ranged from -27 to over 115F since I have used Weapon Shield products. Never any issues. I am amazed with the entire product line, and I am buying more for gifts for the gun nuts that I know. I have found my grail and hope it will be to them as well. Still not sure? Keep reading then. To some oil is oil and grease is grease and cleaner is cleaner and as long as they went through the motions and the thing goes bang who cares. Yup! you know the type. I think I can say that because the last thing they would be doing is reading reviews on something that does not matter to them. Then there are those who think that it should be absolutely frictionless...(which by the way is not possible)...to modify any opinions they have about they're current products they use or have used. Which is hard to believe they would have any they like in the first place. Should any product fall short of a miracle will be lambasted. So basically there are those who just can't be pleased no matter what. To those I would say do not buy this product you will not like it, or don't care or notice any difference or does not meet your unachievable standards and is way more than a gallon of motor oil and tub of grease at Walmart. That is because nothing can please them and are impressed by nothing and do not have a detail oriented mindset. However, if you are picky like me and notice the differences and care about them and want a great product look no further. This stuff makes me go shooting just to use it afterwards, and is the other half of enjoying firearms. I don't review things too often maybe hardly at all, in fact this is my third one in ten years. I only review on solid products that impress me, this is one of them. I have a cornucopia of cleaners and lubes from over the years. I must be a hoarder to keep them all. Some I don't like and likely will never use again but I spent money on them and to discard would be a loss and waste. Some are very good and will be a standby just in case. I would consider myself kind of a purveyor of fine gun care products with a goal of an ideal product. I'm not easily satisfied, nor am I impossible to please when it comes to these products. If I had to relate to Weapon Shield to something it would be a Glock Pistol, It does everything well and with that said some will love and some will hate. I hope I've convinced those genuinely interested in my review and pray I may guide you righteously.

Great Product and Good Customer Service.
I only had one pistol at the time I bought this set and the amount of each item is just perfect. With one or 2 handguns, it should last a while. I use the solvent to clean inside the bore, the grease on the frame and slide rails, and the oil itself on the rest of the gun. I used this product before I shot my gun for the first time and then again after 200 rounds. The product does not gum up and makes subsequent cleanings easier.I did have an issue with my oiler pen. It came with a tiny hole on the side of it that was causing some of the oil to leak out when I use it. I e-mailed George Fennell asking if I could buy just an empty oiler pen from him (I know I could have bought a cheap no name oiler pen but I like the product markings for consistency with the set), but George sent me not only the oiler pen, but it was also filled with the product inside!Very good product and top notch customer service!

Probbaly the highest quality gun maintanance kit I have used.
Easy to use, keeps the guns from rusting PERFECTLY, comes with a grease syringe for those stiff spots on the bolt or within the trigger mechanism, doesn't run out too quickly, and it's not even that expensive.Would recommend every time.
