They work.
They look deformed at first appearance but they stretch well to the contour of the foot. My shoe size is 16in and surprisingly they fit. I bought these for cold(below 20F) weather EUC riding exceeding speeds of 30mph. The feet are 100% exposed to wind and water. They work really well resisting the chill. Much better than layering socks(about 30% better). Only downside is they don't breath very well and my feet started sweating reducing the effectiveness of the chill proofing after time and causing my feet to slip in the sock a little. I have not tested the waterproofing but if holding sweat is any indication the waterproofing is ok. My use of this product is probably extreme use. Under normal everyday use these are probably great. Anything involving mild physical activity in the cold and you have sweaty feet you will see "some" improvment in heat retention which will increase the time doing your activity. If your thinking of hiking in the cold with these and your feet sweat a lot I would recommend getting a better boot.

Great for lining under snorkel fins
I needed a liner under my snorkel fins, but advertised water shoes and booties all have either hard rubber treads or thick neoproprene that doesn't hug the foot. These socks are perfect -- thinner neopropene that hugs the foot like a sock. They aren't meant to be shoes for walking on the beach. I ordered the medium size for my size 7 foot, but they were just a big big; so I exchanged them for small -- perfect! I wear size 7, but have a small foot otherwise.

Form-fitting and warm
I broke a tiny bone in my foot and I am wearing a velcro "cast shoe" on one foot. It happens to be winter in New England, and a snowy winter at that! I bought these neoprene socks to wear with my cast shoe in case I really need to go outside before my foot is healed enough to wear regular stiff-soled boots.A size medium Seirus Innovation Neosock fits snugly over a thin pair of wool/silk blend sock liners on my size 7.5 (ladies) foot. These are not seam sealed, so they aren't the sort of waterproof booties I was originally looking for, but I opted not to spend the required money to get waterproof neoprene for my short-term situation. I've worn them around the house and out to the mailbox for two days this week, and they are pretty warm. Layering them over a thin, natural fiber liner was very comfortable; I'm not sure I would like the feeling of neoprene next to the skin. They are tight enough to leave seam-lines on my skin by the end of the day. I was concerned that might be too tight for my foot to heal properly, so I'm only going to wear them as needed when venturing outdoors.I was very pleased to see that gentle machine washing is acceptable. (No machine drying!)

Seirus Innovation Neosock
I bought a pair of fairly thin neoprene cycling socks from Colorado Cyclist, years ago, for cold-weather cycling, and have been looking for something similar ever since those gave up the ghost.I've finally found them - these are thin enough to work with my existing (Sidi dominator) shoes, if i just loosen the straps a bit, and are much warmer than a wool sock of equivalent weight. Some reviewers have given these socks low marks for not being waterproof. I've never had a waterproof sock and can't imagine how it would work - if i want to keep water from running down the sock and into my shoe, I use gaitors. Not really practical for cycling. You can also use a vapor-barrier sock liner inside of a thicker sock (I've done that on occasion when snow-camping) but there's no preventing your feet from getting awfully sweaty. In my understanding, the whole point of neoprene is that you don't have to keep it dry - these socks will keep your feet warm even if they're soaking wet, and what I really want to avoid is frost-bitten toes when doing a fast mountain descent. In my experience these work better than even heavily insulated booties around the outside of the shoe, For extreme cold, I use both (neoprene sock and heavy-weight outer booty).Haven't had these long enough to weigh in on durability, but in all other respects, a great product.

Nice, but could be better
I would suggest getting a size larger than you think you need. I normally wear a 10.5 shoe, but the large here was quite tight. Sizes according to the package are SM 4-5 MD 6-8.5 LG 9-11.5 XL 11.5-13, all mens sizes, add a half size for womens. I kind of guessed on sizes because Amazon's sizing info does not really help. The other reason for a size larger is that you will probably want a liner inside to soak up sweat or else your foot and ankle just stay sweaty. I assumed they were waterproof, but it says right on the package, "Constructed with seams not sealed." I have yet to run through any big puddles while wearing them, but my feet stay warm and dry while running in deep snow with snow in my shoes. On the positive side they are really warm. They make getting into boots and shoes really easy. They are pretty thin so you can still wear regular shoe sizes. They seem to be quite water resistant and wind resistant. For the price I am very happy with them so far, just wished I had got a bigger size.
