Hydroslide Vinyl Dipped Ski Belt

Excellent ski belt that is used as an exercise belt for deep water movements. Keeps me upright in the deep end so I can avoid hitting the bottom of the pool stressing my joints. It kept me afloat even when I was at my heaviest weight of 316 lbs . Any one in deep water should use this to help keep u upright and unencumbered to exercise in any manner. It is about four inches wide providing enough support to snugly fit around my waist without riding up into the armpits as most other exercise belts do. The yellow part is very dense and about an inch thick and no matter how tight you cinch the blue belt strap it won't cut into you. Been using same one for 15 years And I have had no tears or breakdown on any piece of the belt. no wear fraying nothing. Having a crooked spine it was hard to find one that would stay in place. Easily secures together by pushing one piece of the buckle into the other and and minimal effort to remove by squeezing one piece and sliding it apart. I have problems with hand strength and dexterity and it's easy to use. I am women's size 12 top and the large was very long. Long enough that the yellow bits almost touch. I prefer to wear it so the yellow ends just sit under my ribs on my side slightly forward around my waist. I could have easily worn a medium as the large was almost touching. I would say get the medium if u wear up to a size 18. Large for misses 20-24 . You don't want the yellow part of the belt to touch each other or u will not be able to tighten the belt. The belt needs to be worn very snug before you get in the water as it will loosen up some once wet. The belt buckle strap provides an extra18 inches of length past the length of the yellow part.

I use this swim belt in the deep end of the pool so that I float easier. I can swim, but I like to wear it, as my head stays out of the water and my hair doesn’t get wet while I am doing crunches in the water.

The product is good. I'm not sure I like the strap that's on it. It doesn't stay when I tighten it to fit. So I'll have to figure something out with that. Overall it's great, I just think they need to figure out putting a better strap and buckle on it so it stays tight when someone's trying to adjust it to fit them. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

We bought these ski belts to use when the kids swim at the lake - the water isn't super clear, and we don't like them to be in deeper water without some kind of flotation, but a full life jacket is overkill and a bit cumbersome to swim and play in. We previously had float belts that had the blue foam squares on them - over several years of jumping off the dock and horseplay, the blocks tore off the belt. We figured we would try these as replacements, and they work great! I think they actually work better than the foam block style, because these are coated and a little grippy, so they don't slide up the kids' torsos as easily. The adjustable strap is perfect for tweaking the belts to get the right fit, and the bright color makes them easy to spot in the water. The kids seem to like these much better, and I think they'll hold up quite well over time.

My son is 9, and just a little shy about swimming still. I remembered having something like this as a kid, and decided to see if it would boost his confidence. Sure enough as soon as he realized he was good with it, he swam with confidence and even was brave enough to jump in. (Would not recommended to use in place of an actual life jacket) but, it’s perfect for those almost there swimmers who hate the arm floaties!I ordered a size small, and he wears boys size 8 pants. (He is tall and skinny) The floaty section wraps around him perfectly and I just used a couple of rubber bands to secure the added length of the belt so it wasn’t hanging loose. Ordered a second one in bright green!

I have a lily pad (mat) on my boat and sometimes i found myself just wanting the hand my arms on it and stay up instead of just sitting on it 24/7. This product really helps do that, it will take some time to get used to but when youu do its amazing.

For the past 20 years, I have used this as a teaching tool to teach preschoolers how to swim. The ski belt provides floatation as children learn to use their arms and legs without the worry of sinking. The transition to swimming without floatation is much easier since the children already know the movements needed to swim. These belts last for years if you take care of them and leave inside the house in a controlled temperature environment.

This belt is fantastic. Holds me us easily in deep water whil I do aerobics. The shape is not bulky and feels wonderful while I am swimming
