The book description is very deceiving. I bought this book with plans to build a 1/18 scale gas station per the book description. I received the book and found out I had to download the 1/18 scale. I then had to take the downloaded blue print to the printer, 30 miles away. I had the 1/18 scale blueprint printed which cost me another $25.00. After laying out the blue print to ensure proper scaled measurements. I found out the 1/18 scale was not properly scaled down to the right 1/18 scale measurement. My 1/18 scale die cast cars did not fit in their 1/18 scale designed blueprint. I mailed the company for advice on how to correct the situation. Here is there verbatim response. “We never had this question before. It seems that cars in 1:24 fit just fine in the gas station.“Most 1/18 cars are not properly scaled.I get the feeling that you work very accurate and with a US Air Force background I'm sure you're smart enough to be able to adjust some measurement as you see fit.Kind regards,Seb”In other words “you’re s_ _ _t out of luck. They’re not going to taek responsibility because they’re blaming the design of the 1/18 scale error and not their design.DON’T BUY THIS BOOK!

All the scales listed are not in the book. You have to register online and download them. VERY disappointing!!!!

I purchased these plans a few years ago and plan to build a 1/5th-scale station. I agree that the small scales would be very difficult to build, but I think the larger ones (1/48 and larger) are within the capabilities of the experienced model builder. I also think the biggest challenge is building the overhead garage doors, assuming the builder wants to have functioning overhead doors.The builder can decide how much interior detail should be done, depending on the intended setting.The only reason I'm not giving this a five-star rating is because I plan to build a mirror image of this station (office on right instead of left) and at the time of purchase I wasn't able to print the plans that way.Overall, I'm very happy with this product and with the support available in online videos.

I bought this to make a 1/64 scale garage diorama. Even though the plans are somewhat included for this scale ( you have to piece together a parts list from 1/87 scale), there is no way you could ever cut the small pieces in this plan at that scale. 1/24 and bigger and this book would probably work, but for smaller scales I found it to be a BIG waste of money.
