Enjoyable Raunchy Fun
It’s a bit of a waste of time explaining that this is not for kids. If you like light novels, more than likely you like anime and manga too. Who can forget the screw up that was Funimation botching the release of the anime? I got what I wanted out of it, laughs, a little world building, and insight into the characters. I will say that I look at Stunk in an entirely different light now. Life sucked for him. You get bits of detail from the manga but it’s far more in depth here. I actually felt bad for the guy which is surprising as I only knew him as he was portrayed in the manga. Crim’s bit is entertaining. Our look into their mind and how they work is pretty amusing. The first trip to Meow Meow Paradise is talked about more in depth than the manga. This book is pretty much the otaku version of a Harlequin paperback. If you’re not a fan of fan service then you’re not going to like anything that comes from this series but speaking as someone who will take fan service if it’s appropriate to the story, I enjoyed the book.

A Very Sensual Novella
Ever since the anime came out and became notorious for being too hot for tv, I became interested in this series. After reading this book, I realize I made a great decision and LOVED this series. So many women that look and act different from each other and colorful male leads that bed them is a fun and sexy experience. Can't wait to see more from this book series.

Do I want to read volume two?
This is the second time I'm writing a review for this book. So I'm going to just make it short. This is the first novel that I've read based on a manga. The stories and illustrations are great. If you are into the interspecies reviewer universe I would strangely tell you to read this.

A dirty, fun time
Warning: This novel is NOT FOR KIDS. It contains graphic depictions of sex between people of different species. As well as age play between two consenting adults. If you haven't read the Interspecies/ishuzoku Reviewers manga, or seen the anime (In which case, blame Funimation), here's a run down. The series takes place in a fantasy world with a multitude of various races and species. These people live in harmony with each other. Why? Because prostitution is legal! In come our protagonists. A quirky group as varied as the world they live in. They travel from brothel to brothel, not just for the sex, but to answer the age old question: What's it like to have sex with different species? From elves to halflings (who despite their short, young appearance, are adults) to basilisk and beyond. Our 'heroes' will visit these establishments, and then write reviews scored on a scale of 0 to 10 based on their experiances. There are a few things to note. First, again their are the halflings. Being a race that looks like children (with their ears being one of the differences to show that they are infact, not!), one of the common fetishes with them is ageplay. For those who have a problem with this, this book is not for you.Second, one of the characters, Crim, is an angel. The angels in this setting are effiminate looking and have both sets of genitals. As such, when the author is speaking of Crim, they use 'they/them/their'. Meanwhile, Crim's friends do not know about this fact, believing that Crim is simply a guy. So, they use 'he/him/his'. This is, again, because Crim told them that 'he' is a 'guy'. And they do not know otherwise. If this triggers you, this book is not for you. Finally, there is Chapter 4 The Crack In The Door. This chapter deals with the fetish of NTR. For those who aren't familiar with the fetish, its basically involves seeing a loved one cheating on you. However, this chapter is easily skippable. IF you do so and simply start reading the next chapter, you won't have missed much and can easily pick up the plot again. In short, this book is not for the easily offended. It is meant to be a fun romp in a fantasy world filled with beautiful women of various species. It is a look int what makes these species unique, and a celebration of the fact that beauty comes in different ways.

This is a light novel not a manga!
Basically if you want to read the manga with less pictures. All-in-all it's the same content, just with extra details or maybe a hint for what we might see in future realeases of the manga. There's images sure but it's mostly an ordinary light novel.

Achtung - Light Novel!
