Good camera, nice scheduling features but
SEE MY EDIT AT THE BOTTOM.Really so far the only issues I have found are:1) It will not connect to your home's WiFi network if you use a password with any special characters such as $ or & or @. WiFi password must contain only letters and numbers. This, besides being very insecure, is a pain in the... You either have to change your WiFi router's password and then change it in every device you use on your WiFi network - in my case around 30 devices from my phone to my printer to smart bulbs and smart plugs to smart TVs and smart assistant devices such as Google speaker, Hub, Alexa, etc. - OR what I had to do: enable the separate guest network on my WiFi Router and set its password to be only letters and numbers, and then connect only this feeder to that guest network. This WiFi issue is not an issue with the Smart Life app. Everything else I use in the Smart Life app - smart bulbs, plugs, water valve controller - all work fine with my WiFi password that has special characters in it. This WiFi issue is an issue in the feeder's operating software itself. This needs to be fixed by Balimo immediately. It's a security issue having to use only letters and numbers WiFi passwords that are easily hacked and cracked. This alone is why I'm only rating it 2 stars.2) When I change video quality from HD to SD, it should save that choice until I change it again. But every time I open the Smart Life app again, the video quality is set back to HD. This, also, is an issue with the feeder's operating software, not with Smart Life.As I just received this feeder yesterday, I can't speak to its durability. I will update accordingly if there are any problems in that area and also if Balimo fixes the WiFi security issue.It holds a lot of food. So far, my cat hasn't had any issues with being scared of it or not using it.EDIT: When it loses wifi connection for an extended time, it automatically feeds every 5 minutes which eventually causes food to fill the tray and to back up. Only way to stop this is to unplug the power cord. There should be an option to turn this off.

Worked well until I had to move it.
Our wifi went out this morning, and I also had to move the feeder to a different room while we're on our upcoming trip. The feeder is still offline and has been all day, even though wifi is working fine. We didn't change anything with the wifi, just reset it. Now the feeder will not go online. I finally deleted the feeder from the app and am trying to readd it, but now it won't go into pairing mode. We're away starting tomorrow, and I am beyond frustrated. I cannot find helpful info anywhere or any customer service number. I just ordered another feeder from a different brand and am giving up on this one.

Great feeder, won't link to Alexa/Google as advertised.
The basic functions of the feeder are perfect. The camera is surprisingly of excellent quality and I am especially impressed how clear the night vision is.The audio recording is a 10 sec loop that repeats 3 times and was easy to set up. I was able to add my fiance to the app's home group so she can watch and feed our little guy too (she gets a real kick out of this). Thanks to the scheduling I can sleep in past 6am. It's easy to clean if you leave out the screws for the tray.Instructions were lacking and I ended up watching a few random videos to find things like the feed button on the app (you have to scroll down, but there no scroll bar so it's not obvious). Motion detection works great but I turned it off after an hour. Picture and video recording are a novel idea but I don't need them. Two way audio is super loud (no volume control on the feeder) and freaks our little guy out, but at least it works well.My single largest complaint is that I still haven't been able to control this with Alexa or Google which was one of the most appealing selling points for this model. You have to install the app, create an account, add the device, name the device, install the skill, link your account, and detect the device. The device simply never detects no matter what I try.Support teams for the device, app, and skill have been quick to respond but only provide generic responses and have been of no help. Had to take off a couple of stars for this. If you don't care about smart home features and just want a nice feeder with a decent camera this seems like a good solution for the price point.

Good product!
Overall a great automatic feeder! I originally purchased the Wopet Automatic Feeder but spent over an hour trying to connect it to my WiFi network with no luck; others reported the same issue on reviews of the app. I returned it and found this one. Not many reviews for it on Amazon however the brand Balimo seemed to be more known and sold on other pet sites/stores so I thought I would give it a try. Glad I did! The company has been very responsive to my questions pre-purchase, got it up and running in under 10min, Smart Life app is very user friendly and commonly used with other smart products.I recommend testing to find out the number of 'portions/turns' you need by using a measuring cup to get the exact amount for your pet.Follow the included instructions exactly to set up the app; security camera, etc.PROS:-Setup could not be easier!-HD Camera (surprisingly good quality)-Mic and Speaker for two way communication-Fairly large capacity food storage-Desiccant holder-Quality parts and removable tray-Brand recognition with 1 year manufacturer warranty-Battery backup in case of power outageCONS:-In one instance it did feed twice but may have been because I was updating schedule feed times around the same time (only reason I took off a star)-Adapter plug in on unit is on the back which makes it stick out from the wall about 2 inches, if you are planning to put it against the wall.
