Note: I was requested to review this product and given this product free or at a reduced price to review / evaluate. The review given is my opinion based on my experience with the product.First- This is an ambidextrous glove with a cutaway on each side for your thumb to stick out. On one side it has a short metal bristle brush and on the other a soft fuzzy fleece-type cloth. As this is a soft glove the brush portion bends and molds to your hand as you use it on your pet, giving a full contact feeling to your pet. I did not find the brush portion overly useful for the deshedding aspect, but it works wonders for bonding time with your pet. It’s also good for bath time.Second- The construction of this product is simple but appears sturdy enough. The metal brush is set into a flexible rubber pad that is sewn on to the glove. Think of a car washing mitt with a brush on one side and fuzzy fleece on the other. I expect that as much as my four legged kids like this thing, it won’t hold up, but at the price and the enjoyment they get from it, it seems like a good deal.Conclusion: My dogs went nuts for this thing! They were pushing each other out of the way to get to me so I could brush them with it. It was like trying to keep catnip from a cat! So if you looking for a brush to help with shedding issues this may not be the right one for you. However, if you’re looking for a brush that can be used for bath time and bonding time, look no further. Little warning, put it up high out of reach of your dog, cause mine kept trying to steal it. (Seriously, like catnip!)

This is actually a pretty great product, however I would like to say that if you have a dog with shorter hair.. ( jack russell or a blue heeler type) this product may not give you the desired effect. I do use this on both my short hair dogs to loosen shedding hair.. but i also know that i need to sweep and dust right after.. the short hair will not be collected in the brush mitt side. But it will loosen it and remove it. I would recommend this to owners of dogs or cats with longer hair. I will use this mostly for bathing and scrubbing the dogs during bath time. I got this glove and both my Boston Buster and Kitten Chole love it. My son had a blast "brushing" them today. It has holes for your thumbs on both sides so it works for both right and left hand people. The brush side is still not as hard as most pet brushes and does a great job at getting the hair off the pets. Seems like it is very well made and will last forever. It is nice to have a brush that my son can help take care of the animals with and I am not worried he will hurt them. If you have pets, you need one of these in your home! I was given this product free to review and give my honest option.

Seriously, I've tried this glove on 3 cats and they all go into a trance like catnip - my cat loves it when I brush her with the mitt. It's really good at breaking up loose fur and scooping it toward the tail, then I curve my hand and sort of grab it all. I would say it's definitely better than a lint roller at getting fur. The added bonus is that the cats love it. One problem I had is that the wrist strap doesn't fasten tightly around my incredibly small wrists - so children may have a difficult time keeping it on but everyone else should be fine.I've been able to get much more fur off than the picture - that was just a quick swipe.

I bought this particular one because it was the only one that would work on your left hand (as it has thumb holes on both sides). But this thing is *huge*, it's like sticking your hand in Andre the Giant's mitten. My hands may be on the smaller size, but I mean, they're not like Kristen Wiig's tiny hands character or anything.I still give it the three stars because it is what it looks like - a mitten with a brush on it to brush your cat. But, it's not easy to work with given how bit it is.

This may be a wonderful brush if you have very large hands, but if your hands are small, you are wasting your money. In addition, I brushed my cat for 5 minutes and came up with....NO hair.For my shaggy dog, the brush hung right there in the fur and balled up. my hand just slid right out.So disappointing.And given it is "one size fits all" (except it doesn't), there is no way to make it better.MORE: I am SO impressed with this company's response to the issues I have with this glove. Not only are they refunding my money, but they are adjusting the design of the glove. AND, like I said, if my hands weren't small, this could very well be a great product for me.

I haven't used the glove yet, since my new dog hasn't yet arrived, but my sister used it on her black labs, who shed like crazy. It really kept the shedding under control. The dog loved it and she loved the way it controlled the shedding. It's a great bonding experience. Small dogs can sit in your lap, large dogs by your side, and the dog feels as if it's being petted.

My fat kitty seems to like it better than his last brush. I think its because it feels more like I'm giving him a good pet. Although it does not work out the loose hair & mats as good as a brush. If you have a kitty that hates "The Brush", you may want to try this.
