TowBoggan 6-Person Towable Raft

After going through 7 tubes(at least $200 each) in the past 5 years I wanted to try the Towboggan. First impression was that it was very expensive for a piece of foam with some rope. My Neighbors on the lake had the IFloats 24' pad with the tow kit($1,200.00). They recommend a bungee tow rope for the IFloats product so it does not get torn up. After comparing the two side by side they are both the same length and width. The IFloats is 1-1/2" thick and the Towboggan is 2" thick. The Towboggan is also closed-cell foam but it is encapsulated in cover that I would compare to a very heavy duty plastic reinforced tarp. They are both mostly stable when towed the less weight on board the more stable(kids fair better than adults.) It looks as though the Towboggan is more durable will fair better with wear and tear. Time and use will tell. I will update at the end of summer. Until then, I am mostly happy with my purchase. The $1,600.00 price tag is tough to swallow that is why I give it 4 stars.
