It is a simple account of a man's journey with a wonderful, majestic creature of the north
Written in a straightforward, honest manner. The author's writing style is unconventional, it does not try to boister itself with elegance in using words. It is a simple account of a man's journey with a wonderful, majestic creature of the north, how they can touch us to our very souls, and of the lessons they teach us about life. It is a story of unconditional love, a friendship that reverberates to the soul, and unbelievable devotion. It is a story of the heart wrenching destiny given to us as mortals on earth, when it is time to say goodbye to the ones we love, and of the realization that love does transcend death, and that the pain is all worth it.The writing is very personal, full of emotions, but never had I read anything more beautiful in my life.Written from the heart. I cannot give a better praise than that.

This story was told by a man who truly loved his dog. Whether it was a tribute to Noah, a healing process or simply for others to enjoy, makes no difference. Anyone who wants to enjoy an entertaining, emotional and educational story, should read this book. There are no hidden agenda's or "reading between the lines". Noah was an amazing dog. He challenged Tommy to open his heart and mind to something unknown. What blossomed from that was an unbreakable bond, everlasting love and eternal companionship. Animal lovers of every kind will enjoy this story and have something they can relate to as well.I will also add, "way to go Tommy!!" I know what you went through to write this book and the first one is always the hardest but you nailed it as always my friend. You should be proud and Noah is smiling too.Forever Free......

Wonderful read!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this ebook. Started this morning and finished this evening. I laughed at many of Noah's antics having seen them in my own Alaskan Malamutes!! I met Noah 1998 at the National Specialty in PA. He is beautifully portrayed in this ebook.Tommy has captured the essence of what it is like to share your life with an Alaskan Malamute.I cried at the end, too. He captures what many of us feel when we let go of our beloved malamutes and the dignity we see in these magnificent canines. I recommend this book for the novice and experienced Alaskan Malamute owner. For the novice, you will not feel so alone when you are wondering why your dog did that. And the experienced, you will see your dogs in Noah and remember what it was like owning your first Alaskan Malamute!!Thank you Tommy (Wild) sharing your story.DruAnne (Asgardmals)

Recommended for Malamute (and other animal) lovers!
Arguably this book has a limited audience, those who's lives have been touched by an Alaskan Malamute. Fortunately I am a member of that audience. I wondered if I was the only one who found Malamutes to be unlike any other pet, to be capable of overwhelming and surprising me on a daily basis unlike any of the other wonderful dogs I've had in my life. This book, and many of the other reviews, indicate that it's not just me. If you love dogs and you're thinking of getting a Malamute, this book will let you know what you are in for. I recommend this book to any animal lover, to anyone lucky enough to share his or her life with a wonderful pet. This book is a very personal account by a real life Malamute owner. This book is not meant to compete with classic literature. This book is not overly polished and edited. It is a better book as a result because the author is speaking from the heart.

A very poorly written book.
This is hands down one of the worst books I've ever read. The forward of this book admits as much with the author stating, "I am not a professional writer...and the narrative suffers because of this." He's correct. The author's passion for the Malamute breed is obvious, but this is one of those times when it would have been better to grab a co-author or a group of friends work this thing over until it had a more compelling storyline. Regardless of whether or not you love Malamutes, how other readers can look past the terrible narrative I don't know.

A man and his malamute...
Hoping to get more information regarding owning a malamute, I purchased this book by Tommy Williams. I realized it was a story specifically about his dog, Noah, but I guess I was hoping there would have been a little more guidance for a new malamute owner. Mr. Williams story read like a blog or diary entries, and while it was an interesting and sometimes emotional tale, it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.If you purchase this book, do so because you enjoy stories by pet owners. There are some good references to other reading material, such as The Leader of the Pack, which is what Mr. Williams followed to prove himself the Alpha in his "pack". Something that is wise to do when dealing with the Northern breeds. I appreciated the story of Noah and Mr. Williams, so all was not lost.

Best Alaskan Malamute Book Out There!!!!!!!
I had recently just adopted an Alaskan Malamute and was realizing how little I know about the breed. Buying this book made me understand my malamute in so many different ways. It was nice to hear another dog owner talk about his dog and me being able totally understand what he was saying. He also had a lot of good information and things to look for in my dog. If you own or want to own an Alaskan Malamute I would definitely recommend this book. It will change your relationship and your thoughts on your dog.

truly humbling.
This is a truly magical read. Being cared for and lived by an Alaskan Malamute is something I know a lot about. Tommy is very modest about his writing, but I have to say honestly,he did a marvellous job. He brought to light the love and magic a human can only get through life with an amazing companion like his Malamute Noah.Wonderful and touching. An intelligent and worthy read. Thank you Tommy
